Finished up a project I’ve been working on in my free time over the last couple of months. I picked up this display cabinet last year at an estate sale with the intention of attempting to make a humidor out of it. I removed the original glass shelves, then sealed the entire cabinet with toxic free aquarium sealant. I then added some wood to the cabinet around the opening to create an area that the door would be able to seal against. I ended up also adding some 1” felt tape on the inside of the door to help with seal. I then disassembled cigar boxes and lined the entire inside of the cabinet. After that I made some runners at a 15 degree slant for better viewing of sticks and added slotted shelves. Added two small fans for circulation out-of-site under the bottom shelf. Added a few spanish cedar trays and seasoned it for over a week. Seems to be holding very well so I added some stock into it... When I get around to it I have some led light strips to install as well. I know it’s not for everyone, but I like to look at the cigars as much as I like to smoke them... Here are a few pics...
