Distilleries show

Caught the brewing show right after it again. I should record them both someday.

Is this the show where, instead of going to local distilleries, they go to the absolute largest, most commercialized distilleries in the area?

They had one like that a while ago, which I watched and which was interesting, but I hate to think how little extra effort it would have taken to go to a more quaint place and have a tour of the distillery by the owner instead of Senior Vice President of Marketing, etc...

I'd have to say no, they covered the main spirits all over the world. Some are large and some not so large.

Damn, I missed the brewing show that followed it at 9. I've been reminding myself about this since last week. Why even have Tivo?

I'm a regular on History channel and managed to catch it without the warning. I've seen this one before and no doubt will watch it again. I quite enjoyed it.

I didn't say it wasn't interesting, just a little frustrating. In fairness, I guess leaving out the big guys would also be weird if you truly wanted to cover modern distilling.

Why even have Tivo?

Your kidding right?

Sadly, no. :(

Man TiVo is the shizzle.

I dont know where to start.

Gotta take a leak or grab a beer? Pause the game and get up then come back and resume play and never miss a thing. Then catch up to live during the next commercial. ***Quick tip: Tune into the show/game then pause it and get up,let the dog out, fix a sandwich, grab a drink, and come back 15-20 minutes behind live. Then FF through all the commercial as they come along and you'll catch up to live by the time the show is over ~ 60 min.*** Complete optimization of viewing time.

I havent watched a commercial in like over two years.

Like a certain show? Get a season pass and watch it whenever you feel like it and be able to FF through all the commercial. The machine records it whenever it comes on and keeps however many you want on hand. Old ones roll off when new ones come on.

Have a certain interst as far as show content? Do a "keyword" search and search up all the shows coming on in the next two weeks that fit the profile or have the keyword in the description. Record whichever you like.

Love certain actors? You can search upcoming shows for specific actors and then record what you want.

Ever have a "what did he just say" moment watching TV? TiVo has this little quick replay button that will jump back like 10-15 seconds if you want to hear what you missed or replay a great catch etc.

You couldnt put a gun to my head and make me go back to hard line cable and/or a non-TiVo set up.

I agree 100%, not questioning the merits of TiVo. It's just too bad the operator didn't take the 2 seconds to set-up Modern Marvels for recording.

This operator did.
