I'm sorry, but this is crap. Yes you can schedule your vacations but if I have a plant go down in upstate New York I'm on the road immediately as that is part of my job. Life does happen and if you think otherwise I gotta ask what color is the sky in your world?

Anyone who blames being tardy on "life happens" bull crap is a bad trader in my book.If you are part of a box pass, it is your obligation to be home(not on vacation or a business trip) to receive the box and then get it back on it's way within a 24 hour time period.

This is what a pro does when it comes to box passes, all other scenarios are for rookies and pretenders.

I hope that was sarcasm...I have to do the same thing with my job. If I get a sales call out of state then I go. I would pay very close attention to the order of the pass (if I was in one) but if I gotta go then I gotta go. And if that's means the pass being a couple of days late then "oh well". But I would at least let everybody know the situation. My "Hot Potatoe" situation is slightly different, he didn't know it was coming. So I am patient, just anxious to know what he thinks of the "bomb".

Mainly just backing up AVB's point. You should absolutely let people know what's going on, but for anything other than <= 24 hrs to be categorically unacceptable is ludicrous. It was also the use of the word "pro" that was kind of odd; you'd have to be making enough money off of it to live on.

Yeah that's right if you are called away on business the box pass should take precedent. Get a grip guys, obviously if something like that happens all bets are off. I am talking about people who are home, receive the box and are too lazy to turn it around in a timely fashion, and then claim life is too busy.

Since this is not a regular pass and the guy had no idea it was coming, then no one can expect him to be around to receive it.
