DC/VA/MD/WVA/PA and area Herf

Looking good for 6 or so weeks out. I haven't put together any kind of agenda yet. I think its going to be a "get here when you can and stay as long as you like" kind of agenda. This way, you guys can enjoy the area as well as the herf. Food wise, I may just see what everyone is into and take it from there. I've set up a few crawls back in the day in chicago but that was over 10 years ago. Maybe do a pot luck kind of thing where you can bring whatever you want and we'll just set it out on a table. Let me know what kind of libations you guys are into and I can start picking things up. For you guys traveling and looking for hotels etc. there are a couple of inns in Strasburg as well as a Ramada inn. For the adventurous ones, you can always pitch a tent as well if you are so inclined ;).

Hey Guys, LMK if you're planning on coming out. Reason for asking is my wife just informed me of a birthday present that she got me for that day(tix for Rush). I don't think she was thinking of exact dates when I had mentioned the herf to her weeks back. Anyway, I"m debating on whether to cancel the herf as I've only got 1 person who's told me they're coming. I know with vacations etc during the summer, its hard to commit so again, LMK where you guys stand. G1
 
G1, My wife and I were planning but, we are not 100% about the babysitter for the day. So, don't go missing out on Rush on our account. I think Cigarstone was planning as well. You might give him a PM. LMK.

When is your birthday my wifes is the day after your planned HERF. We were going to make a weekend out of it. No problem to come up with an alternate.
 
Hey J, mine is the same as your wife's. Thing is I only saw a couple of "yes's" and, I know how busy summer scheduling can be so I wanted to see if more than a couple of people were going to make it out. If that is the case, I'll move the tickets as I really hate Nissan Pavillion. If the date isn't the best for people, I was considering moving it to later in the summer as it is a little bit of a drive. We could take a poll to see what the best date would be and I'd be open to host. I'm free usually every 4th saturday of the month so any of those Saturdays would be fine. G1
 
The 28th of July and the 25th of August work for me as alternate 4th Saturday dates. LMK if Cigarstone gets back to you. A small herf is better than none but, not worth cancelling your show unless you're just not interested because of the Nissan Pavillion. I'm easy either way you go. Just don't cancel your gift for something that can ge rescheduled out of guilt. :thumbs:

You guys should just skip this and come to the BBQ Herf in Wild n' Wonderful West by GOD Virginia. Aug. 18 :whistling:
 
OK Guys, with the combo of a different date being better for everyone coupled with 15th row floor for Rush, I'm going to go to the show. Either of the 2 days will work. If the one in august is better, lets just do the BBQ and Dennis, LMK particulars on your herf. Not exactly sure where you are but will try to make it. If anyone wants to take a drive out to the Shenandoah valley, I"m usually free on Sundays so feel free to give me a shout. G1
 
I am not that far from you. I live on the Shenandoah River in Charles Town. About 10 minutes from Berryville and 20 minutes from Winchester. Hillbilly will not be making the BBQ Herf this year, but I do have someone coming with a smoker.

Can't do it....I work every other weekend , so I'll be on shift that Saturday.
