cutting vs punching....

Thanks for rescesitating this thread, this is very interesting.

Prior to reading this I have always been a cutter.

But, Wilkey's method is interesting to say the least. I will give it a go today for my afternoon smoke!

I usually use the punch on my key chain because its easily accessible. Plus i can get it through the security check at the airports.
 
For me I like to cut the slimmer cigars and punch the larger gage cigars.

Ditto.

I use a Xikar or Palio double guillotine on torps and thinner rings (38-46ish). I snag my punch for the bigger barrel stuff (48-54). I typically don't smoke anything over a 54 ring guage and even that's rare.
