Cuban chewing tobacco?

I don't think so, but I haven't looked either. They do have Skoal bandit type pouches etc. Their snuff tends to be on the wetter side, more like thick mud that our grainy brands.
 
I got my tins and they are realy nice. I am pissed that on the back side is a huge sticker from the Swedish health bored but oh well. I have only tried the monte snuss and I have to say that I found it sweet and interesting. I am not a chaw connoiseur so I cannot give you comparisons to others. At least the tin was nice.

Vic, can you post a pic of the tobacco itself in the tin?
 
The snuss can has 20 little pouches, looked like mini tea bags without the string. I couldn't detect a different between the R&J and Monte snuss. It almost made me vomit when I tried it. I have tried skoal mint and liked it, this shit is way too strong for me.

Last night was the first time I ever dipped. Is it still called dipped when the Snus is portioned? So I have nothing to compare it to, but the I opened up the Montecristo and it smelled just plain nasty. I tried it anyway and to my surprise I loved it. It was salty, some sweetness to it, like seeds without mess (b/c as we all know spit is less messy than shells :D ). I had a couple beers and an empty stomach at the time, but I did notice some light headedness. :blush: I will certainly hit the Montecristo again the next time I'm playing cards, wiffleball, etc. Thanks to tigger for hooking me up with a couple tins.

They did smell nasty. Like ass mixed up with hay and more ass.

i got mine, and i gifted them out. i tried a couple pouches. they have an almost "linamant" type odor like lemons and spice. strong for sure. nice box, like everyone says, but not for me.

Just tried this stuff for the second time here at the office and it kicked my ass. Started getting light headed and had to say "no mas" and spit it out after five minutes. Still had a great taste though.
 
Mine came yesterday. Sadly, the Monte tin was slightly crushed. Between the two I liked the R&J a bit better. I did notice a lemony scent. Not bad, but I must admit I still prefer Copenhagen. Perhaps it would be better if they were not pouched. I also picked up two cans of the Lucky Strikes...it's toasted :thumbs: . All of it was very interesting, but I am afraid snus just isn't for me.
 
If anyone wants to sell me what's left of your order, I'd like to try 'em. I'll send the tins back if you want. . .pm
 
Tried the Montecristo snus tonight... My first impressions.... cute little packets, and upon tasting, very spicy, earthy, salty... Generated alot of spit!! It was nice but made me really dizzy within the first 5 minutes. Gave up on it as I was driving and didn't want to weave like a drunk driver..

Theres a big ruckus around the student center actually... They're having sit-ins and have a big sign saying: "The Koala demands due process and beer!"

The administration has never liked the Koala and actually has been trying to get rid of them in various ways throughout the year. One of the biggest issues last year was Steve York's self-made porno that they played on SRTV (student run television) which shut the station down for awhile.

First amendment though right...
 
I enjoyed the two cans I ordered, and I'm ordering a couple more. Keep it in the fridge when you get it. It will lasts longer and, IMHO, tastes better.

*Also, they have Montecristo in loose (not pouches) available, but you have to order a log (that's southern for 10 cans). If anyone wanted to do a split, I'd be down for two or three cans of loose, or even a GB for portions.
 
I'm in for 2 or 3 cans, always wanted to give snuss a try.

I've heard that snuss is not supposed to make you constantly spit like Skoal, any truth to that?
