Mary Ann is staying with me, Sparky! You can have Ginger!
Hey Chris,
Most of your T/P's look good. The only one I take exception with is the last, "T: #53 Opus X Double Corona .................. P: #59 Davidoff Special <<T>> (6x52)". The price on the Davidoff is about $16.57, the Opus X $15, but it is pretty difficult to find at this point.

I see. I didn't figure it to be so rare because the last time I was in my B&M, they had a box of them. I will run over to the B&M today and see if I can scare anything up. If not, I'll just have to pass on the Opus (which makes me grumpy). But I get grumpy when the professor doesn't see things my way, so all is normal.
Cheers!
Well, the ol' B&M was fresh out of the Opus X Double Coronas. But they had a nice Fuente sampler box (I skipped on). They also had half a box of Power Rangers and half a box of Anejo 48's. So I picked up 2 for myself and 3 for amateur. There were a few left. If anyone really wanted some, I'm sure I could pick some more up.
Now, about that trade, there are two options that I'd like to propose for the Opus X Double Corona.
P: 59.1 - A. Fuente Anejo 48
-or-
P: 59.2 - San Martin Pyramid (6x52)
I figure both score for the rarity, but the Anejo is more on the same price point as the Opus (from what I can tell).
So, prof, let me know if either of these are suitable substitutes as a trade for the Opus X Double Corona. If not, I'll smoke 'em both and let the next person have a whack at taking that one.
Cheers,
Chris
Neither of those trades will work either. As far as the rarity factor, you're right with the anejo, but you're way off base as far as MSRP goes so the rarity can't make up the difference. I've never heard of the San Martin so you'll have to give a little info on that one. As far as your B&M carrying Opus, you're lucky to still see them.

I guess I'll disregard this trade then. What a bummer.
Anyway, about the San Martin, it is a Peruvian Puro.
The only store I've been able to find them on line is this one (click here). The Pyramids come in a gorgeous box, which can be seen at the website.
I don't have a whole lot of information about them. The proprietor of my B&M is always looking for unique stuff, and this is the latest one he's found. He told me that they make pretty low numbers of sticks every year, but that might be because demand is low.
Since I'll be keeping this stick, I'll give it a smoke this weekend and try to let everyone know how it is.
