I use a track-ball mouse and don't need a mouse pad, but might as well have a CP pad to rest it on...Payment sent... :D :D :D

Generally, anything but a very smooth evenly colored surface will work with an optical mouse, so the mouse pads would work great for you.

All I use are optical mice, and I have one of the CP pads at every station.
