The liner cut down on my capacity alot. If the walls of my cooler had been straight to begin with it would have worked out alot better , as it had an offset in it I lost about 3/4 of an inch total.

this is a similar concern I had when placing my order. they ask for the internal dimensions, so they'll know how to cut the pieces. but since the Maxcool 150's have the "step" which starts about halfway down (looking down into the cooler from the opened lid) and protrudes approximately 3/8" from the 4 walls, I wasn't sure which measurement to give them.
so I ended up just specifying all of the measurements, told them exactly which model cooler I had.
...and I'm now crossing my fingers & toes, wearing a horseshoe around my neck, wearing rabbit-feet as earrings and filled my pockets with four-leaf clovers in hopes that they'll get it right. :)

I very-much envy skillful wood-workers. I'd love to just do it myself, and have it anal-retentively perfect. ;)

I got my e-mail that the insert was on its way. I got the 48 quart cooler because I am in the process of picking out a small cabinet and didn't want to have a monster in the basement. I still plan on keeping the cooler after I get the cabinet. My only real issue is wether I stand it on its side or lay it flat. I'll go to the local HD to see what they have for shelving options if I stand it on its side. Pictures to follow.

I just took my bigest measurement then added about an inch to it, then just cut it to fit with a small pull saw.

Got my insert, but now I have to trim to fit. It wasn't even close, but it's better than being to small. Hopefully I'll get some time on the weekend to measure twice and cut once.

probably what I should've done, too, randy.
since I haven't heard back from them, I'm assuming that they've either got it figured out, or they don't know where to begin! :0

I'm kinda contemplating canceling my order (if they haven't begun to make it), and just picking up some spanish cedar and having my brother make it for me. he's got wood-working skills, so I know it would end up being a perfect fit, plus I can have him do the interior lid and the bottom as well.
