I was looking at the insert that is at bargain humidor, has anyone tried this? Or is it even worth it?

Hadn't seen that before; looks pretty nice. That's not much more than I paid for stock cedar panels.

They are nice, especially if you want to store a lot of singles. If you're filling your cooler with boxes, I wouldn't bother.

Thanks for the info. I'm doing a mix of boxes and singles. I'll also be adding a tray for the singles.

Can you repost the image or link...I don't see anything and I plan on storing a lot of singles in my upcoming cooledor purchase.
thanks!

I think THIS is what they are talking about. Bargain also has a kit for a 49 qt if you are staying smaller this time.

I'll post pictures in the cigarphoto site once I get it set up. I'll be using beads in this set up so I have some thoughts on a container for them rather than steal the old ladies panty hose :D

I purchased both the cedar lining and a set of 4 trays for my 150 qt cooler.
have no regrets here.

When cigarphotos is back up and running here is a link with some pictures
I normally have the trays stacked on one of the shelfs in the coolidor, they were pulled out for the picture.

I am a big fan of BargainHumidors and the trays are great for the price and nice to look at.

Purely for the functionality though going to your local shop, buying some single sticks and asking for some empty wood boxes will get you all the cedar you need to fill your cooler. You might have to pay a buck or two for the empties.

Randy, where'd you get the shelves, and how are you supporting them? It looks like you're using the supports from one of those Home Depot wood shelving units.

(HD being a generic term for any put-it-together-yourself supplier.)

Looks nice!! Did you get the same capacity as when it was horizontal, with or without the liner?

just placed an order for the inserts for my brand-spankin'-new 150 qt Igloo Maxcool! :)

gotsta get me some beads. and then, of course, fill it up with "other goodies" too. :p

The liner cut down on my capacity alot. If the walls of my cooler had been straight to begin with it would have worked out alot better , as it had an offset in it I lost about 3/4 of an inch total. Your right, the supports are the cheap drill a hole and stick them in type , and the shelving i made out of plywood and a router.

All in all it worked out ok , just wished it was a little bigger.
