Looks like it has quite a few possibilities...especially as a tent heater. Probably would get a bit messy to transport as it's used more and the soot builds up...not to mention the hole you'd have to put in the ceiling of the tent to vent it, not good in the rain! But cool none the less for short money.

Gary it looks cool but it only weights in at 30#.  I thinking it's thin metal and I don't know how long it will hold up.

Let me see if I can find the one that my wife's aunt uses when we all go camping in Rhode Island, Its really cool, and it can be used in the tent as well (if tent is big enough) to double as a wood stove/heat. Looks very similar but it has more of a STOVE top on one side, grill style on the other, and If im not mistaken it has a smaller tank to the side for smoke chips. Ill just shut up and see if I can find a link.

Also Id agree with Grinch if its that light...How long will it hold up? I have had a regular grill that did just that, I thought it was awesome for one year, and the damn thing rotted away.

EDIT :    I see on Gratfuls link that it is a TENT HEATER (shoves foot in mouth as usual) ill still try to find what I was talking about LOL

You can also get a Mr Heater Big Buddy propane heater to take the chill off in the tent...or just stay home.

Cool camp stove? I am more of a Jetboil fan. ;)

...on a side note, is it really any more convenient to type MYN than mine?

LOL...I thought he meant MYN...as in some brand or something.

The caps issue is getting old as well, I suppose.

I actually take care of the HVAC for the Mill building in Manchester, NH that these are manufactured in. It is such a cool product I have one to heat up soup in the van during the winter months!

I guess it all depends on if you're driving to the campsite or hiking. I bough this a couple of years ago and use on every hike; http://whiteboxalcoholstoves.com/

Youtube has a bunch vidios showing how to make a alcohol stove if you don't want to spend the $20.

I love mine.  Especially the french press attachement for cold mornings.

I've been watching them develop THIS for a few years now.  It is a bit much for me, but I ordered one anyway because I've had my fuel fail on me a few times when the temps dip below -15.  It is a far shot from what they started with.

Thanks for the great ideas guys!

The original stove I posted would be used when we backup via truck to a campsite for those cold evenings and mornings in the tent. I've used my buddy's Jetboil a few times while backpacking and it heats unbelievably fast and I like there setup. That Biolight is very cool and I'm thinking about that one when the car is nowhere to be found and cell phones still work for calls and GPS.

Can't wait to heal up and hit the trails later this year.
