This is a top notch way to show your love to the Family.

Thanks for the contest.

First off she has been the best Stepmom my kids could ever wish for.

Best of all she loves this cigar hobby as much as I do, she lets me smoke in the house so I don't have to go outside and freeze to enjoy a great stick. Also she loves to suprise me with a hand full of sticks just about once a week, I'll tell ya she is the best.

Great play Ryan, thanks for the contest.

Well she is a great wife and soon to be a great mother. she could use the cheering up since that doctors are telling us that the baby is small then it should be at this point in the pregnancy and now she has to stay home and lay on her left side all day to maximize flow though the umbilical cord.

thanks for the contest.

At the end of the day, this is a cigar forum. As a purist for the standards established for this community, IMO you should consider restructuring this to be less promotional - the website link is superfluous.

I understand what you are saying. It is the list I can do for her after she gave this to me as a prize for this contest. As for the contest I did run it past Rod before posting it. And if Rod feels the link to her site is to much then please Rod let me know. rp

Why is my wife so special to me? First and foremost she is a wonderful woman and a great mother. Also she is 100% Pollock so pretty easy to lie too...

In truth I love her becuase she doesn't understand CP, but she puts up with it anyways. She is my oppisite, kind, tactiful, non-abrasive, you get the picture. More over, she loves me, real and true.

Regardless of what Rod agreed too, it sets a bad precedent IMO. So for clarification, is the intent of this thread to PIF, or to provide public awareness of the website ?

The intent of this threat was to give the Brothers on here a chance to win there wife's something for Christmas and well to bring some joy to this place. That is it Hell if I wanted to get my wife's site out why not just post a post saying hey look at this. Sorry you don't feel the same and just so you know. Last year my wife gave away over $600 worth of jewelry to charitable origination for raffles, auction and sales. She made on jewelry last year $0.00. She does sell jewelry but all she makes end up going back right into to be given to friends family. And I consider my Brothers on CP both friends and Family. So why the small links is there it is only me being proud of what my wife has done and is doing. rp

OK sorry Guys Back to the Contest. Great Stories so far keep them coming! rp

Please, remove the link. It's in bad taste.

Doc.

Ok, since he is not allowed to personally have a link of his wife's products, Ill put up the link for him. I Know no one from his family or his wife. Here are some prime examples that we all promote different site all the time that is not cigar related.

Example: Woot.com, all the beer site we post, pipe sites, NSFW sites. If your claim is cigars only, then to me those examples make no logical sense to why they should be allowed here, under your guys rules.

If you are going to stand there and say this man can not post that link because its not cigar related, then where are you when everyone else does it around the community. If you are going to stand there and say this man, should not have the link because he is promoting his wife site, and that would not be in good form. If you agree with the second one, then you should have no problem with me posting the link. If you agree with the first one, then we should no longer promote different things non cigar related. Which I think would upset some people.

http://www.angeleyesjewelry.com.... BTW beautiful stuff

edit to spell, and to add

Well, here's my story. My SO (aka mah woman) is absolutely amazing. We met online and dealt with the long distance thing, never sure if I would ever get into the US so we could live together and move our lives forward. Last year, her sister (just shy of 18yrs) passed away suddenly and it was devastating to her. But she's forged forward. She continues her studies at NYU, getting a 4.0 GPA as she does her Accelerated Bachelor/Master's in Social work with majors in Gender Studies and American Sign Language. Her days start at 4:30am and don't finish, usually until 11pm. And yet, through all that, she has a smile on her face when I return home from my many wandering business trips. No matter how stressed she s, she has enough strength to be there on my worst frustrated days and a grin our my best. She doesn't complain when I smoke my cigars and has even encouraged me to do so. For our 2nd anniversary, she surprised me with a Wii.

She is an amazing, beautiful woman who accepts me as I am now and where I want to be. And no matter what, is always there for me.

All I am saying, we allow this type of thing to happen every day. Picking on someone that is holding a contest to give something to your wife, is a little strange for me.

You did not answer any of my above questions? If you can please answer them, then I may be incline to think differently. But right now my stands is strong, regardless of how long I have been here.

I think the community needs to know why you think posting this link is wrong, but numerous of other non-cigar related sites are allowed?

David

Hey, thanks for the contest! Very nice gesture.

She moved across the country to be with me, she likes my cigar hobby, she puts up with all my crap, she proved to me that a long distance relation ship is worth the trouble and worth the wait, and tells me I've made her happier than she's ever been. I make it my job in my every day life to make sure I continue to do so, and also to let her know she does the same for me.... but most of all..She LOVED the jeep... :sign:

I like this girl a lot.

Hey guys,

First, I think what they are trying to say the original post was more of an promotional type post, than an informative type post, which most link a site.

Your post to the link IMHO was just in spite and I think sort of disrespectful. Take note only older members posted about the link, they must have a good reason that us newbies have not come acroos yet.

Its not just their "guys" rules as you put it, but our rules that all us agree to.

I think RP did the right thing and getting with Rod before posting, may be a link to the cigarpass photo gallery would have been more applicable.

Rich

By the way, Rp nice play.
I will not participate due to my comments in this post,(sorry honey) but your wife does a great job on the jewelry.
She has a talent there, and I would be proud of her too.

My question: where in this quote Did he ever promote his wife's site?
"So my wife makes beautiful hand made beaded Jewelry. And Well we want to share the love with out CP Brothers this year. So here we go.

The guy, just posted the link. Yeah he said "she makes beautiful hand made beaded Jewelry" That is just an introduction into what the jewelry was and where it came from, for the CONTEST!!

Still no one can tell me why we allow other non-cigar related cigar sites to be linked. I don't know about you but every time we post something with a link, its promoting that site.

Out of spite? heck no, I did what I believe was the correct thing to do. I stand by that. Yes I am younger, yes I am newer, that does not mean I get less respect than anyone else. I deserve the benefit of the doubt of why I posted the link, not because you think I did it out of spite.
