The damn bands are glued on so well that they never come off in one piece. How am I supposed to collect them from ALL of these delicious cigars!?!?

Hahaha, I was gonna say... who could have a complaint about the LP #9?? But I agree it is very difficult to get them off. However, I've found if you smoke it almost right up to the band it tends to loosen up a little. I've been able to slide a few off the nub. Guess it just depends on the stick.

My initial thought for a post was simply " Blasphemy "

Then I read it, and I agree. I always have to try and slide them off my pigs... Frustration can set in after smoking down a great smoke, only to have your band you planned on putting in your cigar journal/collection rip into a mess. Saddens me as well.

Yeah, agreed. But I will take a "Great" cigar and shizzy band over a great band and shizzy cigar any day. And that is all I have to say about that.

I've bought fivers at at least 4 different B&M's around my area, and all of them have had beetle marks or I've found beetles. The most recent was a box at Cigar King. It was the last one they had. I opened it up and found two beetles alive and well and crawling around the box. After inspecting every one, I found one cigar with beetle marks and assumed it was the culprit. I isolated them for several days and didn't find any more. I froze them for 24 hours to be sure and haven't found any more since.

I should also clarify that When I say 6 boxes, 2 were T52s, and 4 were LP9s. Anyways, they're still some of my favorites, and I've found beetles on other sticks before, but these seem to have the most regular amount of beetle marks that I've found.

I store mine in a humidor at 63% and 70 degrees at home, and rent out a locker at a local B&M as well.

Thanks for fucking up my joke thread, man... jeez. My advice is to stop shopping wherever you're shopping at. You may be storing them correctly (may be), but obviously whoever you're buying them from is not.

I gave up on trying to peel the labels off that cigar, lately I've taken to slicing the bands off with a new knife. Keeps my short attention span occupied for at least 10 seconds.

JD and Fuente both have a heavy glue hand with their bands.

Just an FYI but DE freezes all their cigars at the factory before shipping.

Then there must be cross contamination an a coincidence! Again, I didn't make this statement to cause controversy. Probably shouldn't have mentioned it. Sorry for jacking your thread JHolmes.
