Hate to burst your bubble so early this year, but we be whupping ya'll silly this year at that T-Day+1 game... as we have the last few years. It's our consolation for losing in early October. :p

Typical t-sip arrogance... :D

Nothing will make me more happy than to stop a possible t.u. MNC run at Kyle Field :D :) :p

i want to win the lottery too, but you know how that goes.

shouldn't you be calling us t.u. instead of UT?

EDIT: I see you found your aggie brilliance after all in the post above mine. ;)

After all that is the ultimate insult to your rival school, trasnposing the letters and making them lowercase. :sign:

p.s. - How come the dead dogs can see the multi-thousand dollar scoreboard you built them, from the DEAD and through 6 FEET of DIRT, yet they couldn't see it through the closed end of the stadium.

For those not familiar with this, A&M built a small high tech scoreboard outside the stadium for the dead dog graveyard after they closed in that end of Kyle Field, so that the Ladies Reveille could keep up with the game.

maybe this year at y'all's place we'll throw the ball more that twice, instead of running it up the collective Aggie bunghole all day long.

Well I am glad I don't have t-sip brilliance. I guess we will have to wait to see who is going to eat humble pie.

Sorry, I really dislike this CockyHoskins guy who used to be on CigarSmokers. He has a site dedicated to USC sports. Because of that, he forced me to root for Clemson.

Less than 30 days till the start of the college football season. Living on campus at UT, I got to see all the players report this past Sunday to all team practice. Even though they are my school's biggest rival, I wish em luck this season against OU. Makes me real excited for T-Day+1.

Any ways I wanted to know who ya'll are backing this upcoming season and what big games ya'll are going to face.

Ours are OU,TT, and t.u./UT. :p Mostly I want to win the T-Day+1 game.

I didn't know grammar smack was O.K., but:

you + all = y' + all = y'all, not ya'll, since "ya" is not part of one of the 2 contracted words. You get s free pass on that though, since vewyfishy, fellow t-sip, did the same thing.

"any ways" is not 2 words. In fact, it's not "anyways" either. It's "anyway".

p.s. - Many here may think we're being asses, but we've been doing this **** for over 100 years. Bear with us.

p.s.s. - Remember when the big game was actually on Thanksgiving Day, instead of the day after? That was great. By the way, do you work for The University of Texas?

Nope I just live on campus, it's rough but somebody has to do it.

No problem,

I like both teams when they aren't playing against each other.

I don't here any go UCONN coming from you though. What's up with that?

Good Ole' ROCKY TOP

I'm obviously looking forward to Opening Day, Away game at Florida, home against Georgia, away at Alabama, home against Memphis, home against South Carolina, and home against Ole Miss.

I guess I don't need to say that I'm a HUGE GATOR FAN...I can't wait for the Tenn. game at Florida, I'm going :D

See you Vol fans Sept. 17th in our house :p

GO GATORS!!

I think ya'll have one of the toughest schedules in the country, don't the Vols also play LSU and Auburn.

We'll see about Riggs, Heisman hype is garbage pre-season. My only concerns about Tenn comes from their spring games, in which a crap load of players weren't playing due to various reasons.

The SEC is the toughest conference in college football. Although I must say that the ACC has become much tougher with it's more recent additions, FSU can't just walk all over the ACC anymore :p

I will agree with you on that one. I can't wait to see USC vs. Florida!! It should be interesting.

That will be a fun game to watch. I'm guessing there will be more Gator fans at that game than any other away game all season. I wish I could go but I doubt I'll be able to get tickets :(

I think we should run up the score on Steve if we get the chance just because the irony would be hillarious.

I don't think they should have tried to play Division IA football. These UCONN nutjobs all got big heads because of the success of our basketball program and now they think they can conquer the world

Even when we were Division IAA, we sucked. So they waste taxpayer money to build a so called "stadium" AN HOUR away from campus :0 ah the hell with the students, right? They have the same $hitty attitude with basketball, there are so few tickets left for the students, they're lucky if they make up 5% of the crowd.

So anyway, they actually THINK they can be competitive in Division IA football?
Funniest thing I've heard in my life.
So far though, they've surprised me BUT they have YET to play a full IA schedule.

How many teams from the northeast have played in any major bowls lately let alone win a national championship? Now, I'm not realy a college football expert but I'm fairly confident that answere to that question is ZERO! And Penn State DOES NOT COUNT since they are a huge excpetion to the rule and now that they're in the Big Ten, their chances to repeat that are far less likely than they used to be.

Football is no where near as popular here in the northeast as it is down south, in the midwest and on the left coast. Not only that UCONN is a dinky school compared to the likes of ANY team in the:
Big Ten
Big Twelve
SEC
ACC
PAC 10

Bottom line is UCONN football is a JOKE and I have no desire to have anything to do with it.

I root for Florida & Penn State. They are my two favorite teams. I also will always root for Michigan over Ohio State, and Gibu turned me into a semi-Kansas State fan!! Also, as I mentioned, I will now root for Clemson but only when they play South Carolina or more affectionately known as USuCk

Even though I'm a Florida fan, I'll pull for SEC teams in bowls so long as they're not playing Florida. :D Right now, I think the SEC is the toughest conference in college football.

I wouldn't make a blanket statement like that for NE football, even if you left Penn out.

Pitt played in the Fiesta Bowl last year and has had some great players and good teams in the past few years, with an MNC title on their belt( but from a long time ago).

Maryland played in the Orange Bowl a few years ago.

BC did beat VT#12 in 2003 and was ranked in the twenties sometime last season.

While the NE isn't loaded with good football schools, there are some great football schools in the region or maybe these aren't NE east enough? :D

P.S. CC you must have been on drugs lately, so many errors in such a small paragraph. I think Excalibur's kid must have been on your machine.

I don't agree with this, the Big 10 seems tougher from top to bottom. But who knows, I've been watching college football long enough to know that pre-season talk is cheap and those first big games will decide who is in the toughest conference.

Younger players will have to step up to fill big shoes and key players will have to stay healthy and eligible. These things don't work out for everybody.

Wisea$$!!!

I don't consider Maryland "northeast" as they're in the ACC but you're right Virginia Tech, Boston College and heck, even Syracuse are "okay" in college football but I still don't think that even in their good years, they can consistently match up with teams from the "real" conferences.

I don't mean that the SEC looks to be the toughest for this season in particular. I mean that the SEC is annually the toughest conference :D

If you look at the top 10 rankings (pre-season or post-season) over the last decade or so you'll find that the SEC makes up more than their fair share of the list. There is usually a SEC team to be dealt with to get to any bowl game. There are plenty of perennial powerhouses in other conferences but it seems to me that the SEC has more of them than anyone else.

With all of that being said I will agree that pre-season talk is cheap. We'll have to see what happens on the field :D
