Cohiba Maduro

The vast majority of the scuttle is on the good. Some gentlemen whom I regard as having excellent palates have given these the

Cohiba +10% is not out of line. Anything more than that and I can wait.

I just got an email that one place has a 3 stick sampler for $75.

Thats a cool sampler, if its the same one I've seen, it comes in a nice hinged wooden box with openings for the 3 cigars.

*edit* And I'm still waiting on an Email from the Casa del Puro that I can come pick up the ones I ordered... damn it.

When you consider that you can get a Cohiba Siglo VI for about $20, these seem a lot more expensive than the Cohiba + 10% price point right now. Hopefully when the furor over its newness dies down, the price will come down to that +10% level. I'll probably just get one to try while I'm in London and wait for the price to be more reasonable.

Update on prices from one vendor.

Cohiba Secretos- $11.00
Cohiba Genios- $22.40
Cohiba Magicos- $20.40

Not too bad at these prices. I hope this is what the world market can expect to pay for these cigars. ???

Ouchy. $11 for a petit coronas is steep but it's the only affordable vitola for me.

So they are in the same price range as Red-Dot Cojibas

I was looking at some of these on a vendor's site....why did Cohiba put out such a desirable cigar in such crappy sizes?
Crappy in what sense?

Blech! Petite Coronas? If it was not such a crappy vitola, there would be well known and popular cigars of that si....oh, wait...nevermind. I am looking into a couple 6-packs, two of each size.

Sadly, it is what the market is demanding right now. Although I will more than likely try the two larger sizes, I will definitely be getting a box of the Secretos. It sounds like the perfect morning cigar to me.

I would love to see a lonsdale and a lancero size maduro 5. I think with those thin ring-gauge smokes you would really be able to notice the 5 year old wrapper imho.

Oh baby. I am just drooling thinking about this in a Dalias (6.75 x 43) or Cervantes (6.5 x 42) vitola. You lanceros nuts are a special breed. :D

Like you, I'd probably try the two fatties but stay with the Secretos. Although, at 100mm x 40, it's actually darn close to the itty bitty Perla (think Siglo I). I'd have preferred the Minuto (Party Shorts) or bona fide petit coronas (Mareva) for a bit more smoking duration and development.

And what the heck, no tubos??

They could have made a culebra, as for the smaller gauge cigars they have their place. I currently have been smoking the IIs and some smaleer ring cigars, but my preference continues to the larger ring cigar.

Can we special order some Lanceros? :whistling:

You get Habanos S.A. to make us a special order Lanceros.....and I'll buy each of our first box.
You will also have to re-thaw hell and clip the pig's wings. But hey, while pig-wing clipping and hell thawing, you'd be smoking a damn fine cigar!

Small print: In order for the above offer of cigar purchasing to be valid, each cigar box must be printed with "Special Cigarpass 2007 release. Josh rules!"
