Growing too fast.
This is a nice little quick smoke cigar with a dark maduro wrapper that is slightly coarse with noticeable oils. There’s a slight give when squeezed and a good weight in the hand for its size. I punch the cap and find a little too much resistance in the draw with just barely enough air flowing. Hopefully it’ll open up some once warmed.
I put fire to the foot and after getting the burn going good and even, I take a draw. There’s a nice spice on the back of the throat in the medium bodied smoke with a salty sweetness on the lips. The sweet maduro flavor is coming through with rich cocoa and dark earth. Delicious! The burn is good with a strong, medium gray ash forming, and although the draw is a bit tight, enough smoke comes through to satisfy the palate.
There’s a deliciously rich finish that’s long and lasting on the palate. Flavors of dark, rich cocoa and luscious earth continue with a fantastic roasted nuttiness. The burn is still sharp with the ash holding strong. I take this little smoke down to the nub it is so good, shame it didn’t last long.
