Cigars you DONT Smoke?

Unless it was made as art like a Football or Bat cigars are made to be smoked. My Padron Millenium, the last of the 3 I had, is going on the 27th for example.

I agree, cigars are made to be smoked. If you don't smoke them you will never know if you like them and will never have the experience of enjoying that cigar. It will just sit in your humi and stare back at you, waiting to be smoked.

I have three or four of the "old" Trilogy triagle pressed (three sides) cigars left in Churchill / Maduro. They were one of the first "decent" cigars I smoked when I was getting started with quality cigars; got turned onto them by a buddy. I'll probably keep them around for sentimental reasons.

Got a GOF in it's little wooden box that's getting saved for a very special time, but it will get smoked.

Eventually I will smoke everything I have, but some are harder to part with than others. I have a CAO Millinnium that I am hanging on to for example, but one day it will burn.

Other things I don't smoke because they are nasty. A good example would be anything from Helix. Tastes like a grass fire took a sh!t on cardboard. Just my opinion.

This is where I stand. I have a couple of the TAA 05 packs as well as some of the Forbidden X tubes that I will be hanging on to for awhile but their feet will hit the fire when the time comes.

I could not just collect a cigar and not have the intention of smoking it. I do have some that are in the 5 and 6 year range and belive me they will be smoked either by myself or someone else I find worthy.

I have a couple I’m saving for a special occasion other then that if I have it I smoke it. My Great Grandfather was a pack rat, poor fellow never got to enjoy the fruits of his labor aside form looking at it. I always promised myself not to do the same.

You should... they are great smokes, and very possibly may pass their prime.

I wont smoke anything flavered especially drew estates white owl etc.
Otherwise cigars are for smoking only age they get is how long it take me to set them on fire.

Is there any guide to the cigars best kept for aging? I have a handful of Siglo VI that I cannot bear to touch as well as a handfull of Opus X Double Coronas that I don't want to waste. I always say I will smoke them for some occasion or another, but never do.

I learned awhile back saving them to look at is great but it is a cigar. Unless I get my hands on something like the "Opus Love Rocket" or something that I would really consider "art" I'll end up smoking it. That OR Opus RDC in my humi makes me wanna get married so I have a reason to smoke it!! :laugh:

Maybe tonight will be my official "I didn't hit an elephant on Route 91 on the drive to work" cigar celebration. Special occassions are all around me! Tomorrow will be "Didn't get eaten by a tiger" day.
