The year's finally in the books. After smoking cigars for eight years, I think I'm finally figuring out what I like and zeroing in on those smokes. I'm fortunate enough to have had a great year of smoking, so narrowing it down to 10 was tough... here's my shot at my favorite cigars of 2013:
Ramon Allones Specially Selected- I'm finally warming to the complexities of this cigar when it's on
Ortega Serie D Maduro #12- Surprise of the year; spicy and sweet
Vegas Robaina Unicos- Best in show for me; complex leather/cedar with cappuccino and an herbal finish... the velvety smoke this cigar produces is amazing
Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto- Salty peanut flavors that I found intriguing
Johnny-O! Torpedo (2009)- Complex with nuttiness and sweetness
San Cristobal Fabuloso- Cinnamon all over the place; rich and tasty... thanks for turning me onto this one, Boar!
Illusione Epernay Le Matin- After 8 years, I've found "my" cigar; consistently performed with honey and floral flavors
Illusione ~2~- Another Illusione that remains in my wheelhouse with nuts, caramel and earth
Illusione ~eccj~ 15th Anniversary- The Epernay is the same blend, but the age & vitola on these does wonders; smoke 'em if you have 'em!
Padron 1964 Anniversary Maduro Superior- Typical Padron profile with amped up cocoa and spice; another stalwart
