Robb good to see your coming. Now call me with your CC so I can hold a seat for you

After much whining and bitching by Gary I have signed up for this dinner!

It should be a blast!

Thanks Jim! And Gary too for 'convincing' me to attend!

Looking forward to this!

Jim runs a great dinner. I attended the 2005 Mardi Gras Cigar Dinner in Rocky Hill. A great time, a big raffle, and great food.

Black Eyed Sally's has AMAZING food too.

Any event where you can get together under a roof and smoke is very rare in Connecticut. I couldn't pass it up.

Hope to meet you there!

One week to go!

Gary,

Who do we got for the pre-herf?

-Rob

Rob,

What time will you be in the area?

Is anyone else interested?

Pre-herf might be at my place or we might meet at Jim's.

Just a thanks to Jim and Mary Ellen for hosting such a great HERF!!!

The Pre Herf at my place consisted of coventrycat86, smokelaw1, rob300c, ralph and a couple of non-online botl - Alan and Todd! We spent a couple hours outside chattin' it up about all you bastad's and smokin' some good leaf!!!

We arrived at the HERF before 7pm and were greated withe a warm smile by the hosts.

The poor room was filled with smoke, although it seemed to billow in waves, ventillation was still pretty good.
The Apps were great and the company grand. (More conversation about you bastad's :D )
The wait staff was quick and the time between courses was excellent.

Let's see - what did I smoke :whistling: :

Again...a great time was had by all!!

Thanks Jim!

What a great evening!

I arrived at greatful1's house shortly before 5:00 and saw that I was already behind on my smoking. The host immediately gave me a PSP2 to smoke. Very generous, and what an amazing smoke. Finally got to put faces to the names of CoventryCat86, smokelaw1, rob300c and the host of course. Alan was great as well and I've known Todd (AKA Rastacat on other boards) for years.

Black Eyed Sally's was awesome! Food was incredible and the company was even better. Some of us got reprimanded by the sponsor, Cusano Cigars, for smoking other brands but smokelaw set him straight with some quick thinking. With my late start I smoked the PSP2 and an '01 Hoyo Des Dieux. I definitely went with quality over quantity.

Thanks again to the grateful1 for his hospitality and the great smoke. Looking forward to getting together with you guys again.

Special thanks to JimD and Black Eyed Sally's for putting this on in smoke-free Connecticut.

Looking forward to Rob's pics.

I'll throw in my thanks here, Jim and Mary Ellen...great event!
The company was outstanding, the cigars top-notch, and the food delicious!

It was great to see some of you guys again, and meet some that I only knew online.

And thanks again to Gary for being a gracious and generous host...next time, don't put me on the spot like that....I'm gonna think of a harder to fill request!!!!!

Todd is Rastacat on CWise  A BIG THANKS to grateful1 for hosting a preherf at his house, we had a fantastic time sitting outside in PERFECT weather smoking Gary's cigars! :D

I was unable to attend the dinner but was glad I didn't miss getting a chance to get together with Al, grateful1, smokelaw1, Rob300c, Ralph and Rastacat for a couple of hours.

Today I was at a golf tournament and lo and behold, they were handing out Arturo Fuentes to the participants that had come from The Tobacco Shop (Jim D's store) in Hartford, CT. Thanks Jim and I'm sorry I missed the dinner.
