does it affect the nose and taste of a bourbon if it's chilled, like kept in the freezer? I like it neat, but cold, and have never done what i am asking about, i guess i could try, DOH

I have heard of people storing their Bourbon in the freezer, that was mostly in the college days when they intended to drink a lot, not enjoy it. Neat Bourbon should be served at room temperature for a true tasting experience. I have had it in a chilled glass, seemed to take some of the "heat" off the Bourbon, I am referring to the taste and not the temperature. However, that said, drink it however you enjoy drinking it!

Please don't ruin your drinking experience by putting it in the freezer. For the sake of your tastebuds, drink it at room temp.

Most of the bourbons that I drink are either neat or 1 to 2 icecubes max.
