Okay, so let me get a quick word in before you all tell me how horrible Thompson is! I, myself do not hold Thompson in very high regard primarily because of the poor craftsmanship of their own cigars. I do have a 50 ct humidor from Thompson that was purchased for me as a gift that I've never had any problems with, but my horrible experience smoking their "cigars" has convinced me to never buy from them again. However, due to the fact that I am on their mailing list (and will probably never get off of said list..) I do get their magazines in each month which every now and then I'll take a gander at to see how much they are ripping people off. To my surprise today I found, what I think to be, a fairly decent deal. Long story short of it is that one would be able to purchase 20 Brazilia Lambada's for 60 bucks. I have always enjoyed the CAO Brazilias, normally I smoke the Amazons, but I have yet to try the Lambada. At Famous-Smoke.com 20 Brazilia Lambada's cost 80, so this would be a 20 dollar savings depending on the difference in shipping cost. Is this a good enough deal to brave dealing with Thompson? I am on the fence, so let me know what you guys think.

I would say no, they don't seem to store things too well. My roommate had ordered some stuff from them at one time. Was only in the mail for a couple days, but they were extremely dry when he got the sticks. Way too dry to have been caused by the 2 days in the mail.

I don't care how good the deal is, I will never order from Thompson again. Their customer service is beyond bad, you will never stop receiving their catalog and overall their prices on premium cigars (not their crappy house brands) are very high.

That was the sort of reasoning I was looking for to avoid dealing with them. Thank you for probably saving me a hassle and a bad experience!

I order cigars for a low budget cigar club down here in College Station, TX. Unfortunately I have had to do business with them on several occasions; the service is bad and the cigars either way to wet or to dry. As others have said, stay away.

It's your choice smokin, but I think it is hard for anyone to look past their bad experiences with Thompson. In regards to the pricing, it is a $20 savings over Famous, but the gamble is whether or not they will show up in good condition. Your call brother

As I plan to do with all of my time spent here, I am going to follow the advice given. Whats sad is at the moment I couldn't even afford to buy the cigars for the reduced price.. I am down to 4 cigars now! What ever will I do?

I wish I knew you well enough to tell if this mooch attempt is serious or not.

I was just thinking the same thing!

What you should do is simply buy some cigars.

As for Thompson,
If they were the last retailer on earth I'd quit smoking before buying anything from them.

Haha, no, not a mooch attempt at all, sorry if thats the way it seemed! I was being sarcastic because I was having the same conversation with my wife and she was giving me a hard time that I was worried that I only have 4 cigars left. My plan is to buy a few sticks here and there until I can make an informed decision on what kind of box I want to buy, and definately will stay away from buying them from thompson when I end up buying some.
