After my Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws I had a stick with my brother-in-law. We both had A. Fuente Chateau Fuentes'.
His seemed to light easily and burn but mine did not. I was a struggle to keep it lit. I was constantly sucking on it to keep it lite and after a couple of minutes it would go out. After attempting to enjoy it for an hour or so I got up and felt drunk, and other then two glasses of wine I was not drinking, I was feeling just I do when I have one to many.
I have had a couple of cigars with wine before, more then the two glasses that were consumed for Thanksgiving, and had not gotten sick then.
I think maybe I inhaled or just overdosed on the tobacco. Is that possible?

I think its because of the constant huffing and puffing plus the wine you drunk.
You should take it easy when you smoke a cigar.
Although,it might be because of a bed structure of the cigar that keep on dying on you.

Yes I've seen this happen when someone overworks a cigar. Probably a bit too much tar & nicotine for your system mixed with the huffing & puffing. Sometimes if it's just a nicotine "OD" then a bit of sugar helps, keep some candies close by or drink a sweet beverage with your smokes till you build your tolerance.
Hope your Thanksgiving was good otherwise. :)

Sounds like lack of 02 or too much nicotine.

Drink coke (sugar) to get back in balance if it's the nicotine...breath if it's the 02!

The cigar did seem to be falling apart about a 1/4 of the way down, like it was unraveling. It was quite honestly a mess.

Everyone gets a lemon at some point. I recommend 'not' making lemonade.

This statement mixed with the huffing and puffing tells me the humidity in the cigar was WAYYYY too high. Where did you get it? Hopefully you didn't get it from the guy near Stanford and Florida Ave, he keeps his humidity in the mid 80's...

Finally a subject I'm an expert on! I have OD'd a few times, It's just like bieng drunk, except it wears off faster, Gene Arganese told me "Drink lots and lots of water, sugar don't help, ya need more water", he said it happens to him and his cigar testers all the time. ralphing your guts out seems to help too! personal experince there too

I smoked a Chateau Fuente out of a box I bought and that thing knocked me on my butt! I was hiccuping about half way through. I dip Copenhagen Snuff, so you would figure I would be used to the nicotine, but that thing through me for a loop for some reason. Glad someone else had that problem besides me.

I experienced that problem too, its worse than being drunk, its like a really bad never ending dizziness/headache. The only way I can combat it is either sleeping it off or breathing fresh air for like half an hour. Now I just smoke cigars really slowly but I'll definitely try the sugar method if it ever happens again.
