Anyone tried the Camacho triple maduro yet? They had them when I went to the shop today, and I hadn't heard of them until today. Grabbed one and smoked it tonight, and it was really an enjoyable smoke. Maybe in the next few days I will get around to a review on it.

I have and really liked it. I also did not experience a bitter after taste. I like Camacho Cigars, especialy the Corojo. I have met Christian in person. He is a great guy. In February, I am planning to go on the tour of his Honduras plantation.

Not a fan. The clerk at the B&M gave me one to try several months ago. It was a sample that the rep left with him. I told him I thought it might be an okay change of pace cigar for about five bucks. Of course the price point is quite a bit higher. For my money, there are others I would grab for first. Then again, I'm not a big fan of the Camacho line in general.

I haven't tried one yet mostly due to the price but also I am wary of "gimmick" smokes.

But with an open mind. So I have been listening and reading and the reports vary widely.

It's at least possible there is an underlying cause to this besides subjectivity. I have seen more than a few blends where RH is a big factor in taste, as well as performance. One observation I've made in our shop is many of the Triple Maduros seem overly dry. Why this is and what it means, I don't know. Maybe it's not related. But some tobaccos are sensitive to RH.

One of the reasons I like Cuban blends is that the tobacco is durable. That is to say, it recovers easily from either too much or too little moisture. Maybe the Triple Maduro is the opposite.

Or not. ;) If they weren't so damn expensive, I'd try one.

Gotta put in my two cents... I smoked one along with gunsandcigars88. I wasn't nearly as impressed as he was, although I didn't experience this bitterness that many of you mention. I thought it was OK, but should have been a lot more complex for the money. I had some pretty serious burn issues with mine, but his burned fine. Each to their own, but I don't see myself buying another one at that price.
