I got off of work at 7am today, I'm doing the graveyard just temporary until next week when the new guy takes over and I get my midshift again. This morning I was actually energized b/c I was able to take a nap due to it being a slow night at the hospital. Since I was feeling good I decided to have a cafe con leche and a cigar. Well, as I was looking in my humi I decided on the Cabaiguan, these have been in my humi resting for the last nine months since my initial reaction of smoking these brand was not good. It was harsh and had alot of bite to it. I almost decided to trade off the box b/c I didn't like the first cigar I smoked. I'm glad I didn't. To my surprise this cigar that was harsh nine months ago smoothed out with a little nap in my humi. I was shocked at how good and light, but yet so flavorful this cigar had become and how well it paired with the cafe con leche. I look forward to smoking another one maybe sometime this week in the AM.

I've had my box for a year now, and you just reminded me about it. I guess it won't be long before I revisit it too.

I just bought a box of these from tower cigars, still waiting on the shipment. They are the cheapest I have found with free shipping. I have not tried one yet but have heard great things about them so far. I will try to post my first review of these cigars in the comming weeks. If anyone wants to do a review before myself please feel free.

Cabbies are the perfect cigar after a Sunday brunch of lox, cream cheese and bagel.

Doc.

I have two. The first one had some age on it. A year maybe, and was excellent. The second was under 2 months and was horrible.

Gee shooter, you seem to have a lot of bad experiances with Pepin's cigars. I hope you lay over in Manchester soon. We'll staighten you right out.

Yea I know.... I have some great experiences also. Its just such a let down, when I grab one of his sticks expecting that solid flavor I like so much and get a taste similar to the inside of a fake leg. I dunno.

I revisited the Cabaiguan last night. It is the first box I ever bought, about this time last year. I felt that it tasted a lot more woody/cedar'y this time around. The burn was great. Definalty mild/medium. I think it would be a great accompaniment to coffee or good whiskey. I beleive that is what I'm going to save the rest for.

Well I just got my box today and had to try one. I must say I had no harshness to the cigar until it got down to the bottom inch or so. It was great. It was woodsy/earthy tasting with some grass like notes. I really enjoyed it. I would say that it was medium body. I am glad i picked the box of these. I will be having these for some time to come. I highly recommend..
