buttery and smooth cigar

I've got what I'd like to call a virgin palate and have yet to have a buttery noted cigar. Sounds simply delicious, but the closest to buttern notes was my bagel this morning :)

I've had the 100 anos (as a matter of fact, just purchased a box of 100 anos for $220, postage paid and its on its way to me). The cigar is a smooth, almost chocolatey taste to it. Its simply delicious and there's a whole hell of a lot more going on in the taste than just the chocolate overtones. By all means get it! If you can't find one, give me your address and I'll gladly send you a couple from my box.

Read something about the Aurora 100 Anos being a rich, oily cigar...but buttery?

Has anyone had a cigar with buttery notes?

Rich, I can understand...I'm just trying to understand such a concept.

By the way, how is the Aurora 100 Anos (the cigar with the Lion on the band).

That link is first class.

The Partagas 898 has a buttery hint to it, I think so anyway. Buttery and Expresso flavors. Especially when exhaled through the nose.

You should buy those cigars from Gary just because he made that special for you. ;)

bwahahaha :)

Why? I really enjoyed the Partagas Series P Kettlecorn. It had the salt of an opus with the butteryness of a PAN. Wonderful!

WTF? You're not allowed to bash me, smokelaw1...only Moki! Keep it shut. :sign:

Oopsie. :whistling:
It looked fun, though.

I will have to disagree on the Anos being buttery, to me it had a real unpleasent dirt taste to it.

For buttery I would recommend the Ashton Cabinet series of cigars or a Butera.

I would agree with the Ashton and Butera, but would add the Diamond Crown natural (even better with some humidor time on it).

But as weird as this sounds...I had an ISOM Cohiba Espendido that had a very buttery taste and finish.  I liked it.

A tobacco rep of mine said that this is because they roll Esplendidos in hot butter like corn on the cob... gives it that buttery taste.

What?

Hey...

Don't look at me like that!! :) :)

Do they boil those leaves BEFORE they roll them in hot butter, or do they do that AFTER the butter rolling?

Wow, I would have to say that the La Aurora Churchill is the cream-i-est smoke I've ever had. To quote Eric at the tinderbox "Damn that even smells creamy". I do find the shorter sizes are a little rougher, and it gets rougher the more you go down.

cigar1993 you are awesome!

I will definitely by a 5'er!
That is so hilarious!

Thanks to all who've responded...I didn't realize the response would be so large!

Thanks everyone!

Resistance is futile. Especially when it's named after you! :D

I just couldn't let an opportunity like that go by untouched.

Now let's see what Ginseng thinks about the one I named after him in another thread.

Just ordered it!

Thanks again cigar1993!

I'm looking forward to the smokes!

Eh...watch it buddy...keep the comments in the "Insider" thread!! Damn, I'm getting more embarrassed every day because of that (but I swear it's true! :D ).

Actually, I was hoping for a link to the thread they were busting your balls about....I was referring to when moki suggested that we all boil our cigars to kill beetles rather than freezing them!

cigar1993,

I received my order today!

Too bad I can't smoke for a while...I'm sick :(

I guess some age on them wouldn't hurt.
I'll do a newbie review of them once I smoke them!

Thanks again cigar1993!
