This one was a little different from my normal homebrew day. I’ve worked in the taproom for about 8 years at a local brewery in RI. The company’s 10th anniversary is coming up in December and I was called upon to design a recipe. It was approved and I was able to go in and brew on the pilot system a “small batch” which will be released at the celebration event in Dec. The recipe I came up with is a Manhattan cocktail inspired imperial stout, complete with actual Luxardo cherries in the secondary and some of my home grown cascade hops.
