BOTL's in Arms Pass 2010

That's the kind of question that tends to stump passes!

The T-110 is more rare, but it's also been offered in the BST here several times, and iirc, folks here on CP were actually able to reserve boxes, because the retailer's a member. Is it less rare on CP than elsewhere?

With the Opus trade, the issue that comes into play in my mind is that any Opus that's equal in rarity is going to be a whole lot pricier, dollar-wise.

Keep in mind....availability to CP members doesn't constitute the degree of rarity of a cigar....we have to look at it from an objective point of view. If in TKoepp's ISOM Dunhill and Davidoff sale which last a week or so...we said those cigars weren't as rare because we could go buy them in the B/S/T...well, that isn't a sound measurement as to the rarity of the cigar. Can we get them so readily now? We have to look at it from a quantity realased versus ability to still purchase on a national basis to be fair.

Don, you're more than welcome to wait it out and work through this....there isn't a need for a quick turn around or a marathon pass.

Thanks Jake, we"ll give it a day or two and see what we can work out.

Looks like its to me, so here goes

Takes---------------------------------------------------------------------------Puts
#37 Tat T 110------------------------------------------------------------Opus Fuente Fuente
I have a concern here....price is good...but the T110 (released in ~200 - ~250) boxes only twice, versus an opus (which carries a rarity factor) released quarterly. while both rare....it's not expected that the T110 be released again. Since the cigar is no longer in production, I feel it a bit more rare than an opus. Since they are both rare though, I'll let fellow passers decide this one as it is a decision over the "degree" of rarity.

#57PAM Imperiales----------------------------------------------------Opus Perf. #2
Good!

#7 DPG invictus------------------------------------------------------------Tat 7th res.
Good!

#55 Liga Privada Parejo----------------------------------------------Tat J21
Good!

Don

Guys, more passer input on trade #1 would be appreciated.

I traded an Anejo 50(12/09)(put) for a T-110(take) in another PASS recently. It was approved with no discussion.

However as the Anejo is only released yearly (as far as I know) it may carry a little more rarity than the OpusX which is released quarterly. (I thought they were released yearly as well)

How about if the OpusX has some age on it? Say 2 or 3+ years? Would that bring it closer to the T-110?

Edit: Spelling

Age and price can help when making a trade for a rarer stick than what is being put...we've already had a case of that in this pass. So it will help....just depends on the age and vitola. But you are correct...Opus are released 4x as often as Anejo's.

I was digging thru the vino to find something to trade for the T110, and in the very bottom I found a box marked Tat goodies.Inside was a 5 er of T110 and misc other Tats. Im going to sit on the porch and smoke a Frank tonight. In light of my new found Tat riches Ill leave the T110 for someone else.
I will try to get to the P.O. tomorrow , but it will probably be Thurs.

Looks like I am up, here are my P/T. Let me know what ya'll think.

T...15) La Aurora Cien Anos Preferido, P...Tat Red Turbo

T...16) LFD Cameroon Lancero, P...San Cristobal Fabuloso

T...21) Padilla 1932 Robusto, P...VSG Sorcerer

T...50) Davidoff 100th Anni Robusto, P...Pardon 1964 Anni Torpedo

Alan, I'll look at those this afternoon....

In the meantime....some of my latest and greatest Porn...(These are my new pistols). One of them, the GI model on the right, was mine a few years ago and I sold it to a friend. Well, he had the barrel throated and the feed ramp polished, dropped the trigger pull to like 2.5lbs and put the skeletonized trigger and hammer on it....then it found its way back home and I added my new grips, European Red Stag grips...with a pearce finger groove addition...the pistol feels like pure bliss.

The other is a Loaded GI Model....tritium sights, etc.

Nice one's Jake. I like the Pearce grips. I've got Hogue slip on grips on my Glocks and love them. They've got the similar finger grooves.

T...15) La Aurora Cien Anos Preferido, P...Tat Red Turbo
The La Aurora is $14 and the Tat Red is roughly $11, this one is a little short. However, the 64 Torp would be a nice fit if you really want the La Aurora and can't find anything else.

T...16) LFD Cameroon Lancero, P...San Cristobal Fabuloso
The Lancero is $9.80 and the San Cristobal is $8.54....This one is a little short.

T...21) Padilla 1932 Robusto, P...VSG Sorcerer
Good!

T...50) Davidoff 100th Anni Robusto, P...Pardon 1964 Anni Torpedo
This was already tried on page #7...Here are the same notes:
Just a heads up....the Davi 100th anni won't work. They haven't been available in stores since 2007 and won't be made again.
Linky
You can see by the link that JackSchwartz got the last shipment of them 3.5years ago (check out the time stamp).
Going to need something a bit more rare than a PAM Torp.

I used comparison shopper and got the price for the Tat Turbo, Red at $13.50. Is that the right one?

T...16) LFD Cameroon Lancero, P...San Cristobal Fabuloso
The Lancero is $9.80 and the San Cristobal is $8.54....This one is a little short.

I used the comparison shopper and used the pricing for LFD Cameroon Cabinet No.1, 6.5x44 and got a price of $8.08.
Did I pick the wrong one on comparison shopper?

Sorry for the delay pass is on its way D.C. # 0496 9002 8091 2709 1313

Couple things....

In regards to the Red Tubo...there is only one price listed on Comparison Shopper, for one retailer....not a very good indication of MSRP (as I know that price to be high). If you go to the websites of the other vendors listed on the comparison shopper Serious Cigars....for example has their pricing for this cigar on their website, for some reason....it was never updated to the Comparison Shopper. A little more research and price averaging takes the cigar, from the pricing of all vendors, to about $11.50. Even at $13.50, it's still a bit short.

In regards to the LFD Cameroon Lancero....yes, you picked the wrong one. This cigar is only for purchase at Jack Schwartz and isn't listed on the comparison shopper at all. Price is $9.80, even at $8.08 (if it was the right cigar) it's a bit short...
