 Awesome gesture! Being active duty this hits home. I have always pulled out nice cigars for anyone in my Unit that wanted them when we were deployed on days like Easter, the 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Superbowl, Worldseries, March Madness, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, etc. Please let us know the cut off date to get you the cigars.
Also, when you send him the cigars, please take a minute to write a hand written note. You don't have to put anything more than, "Thank you and come home safe" if you don't support the political aspect of it. Trust me, when you get a hand signed letter from a total stranger, and it says thank you, it means more than a pot of gold! I have read numerous Christmas cards while deployed, it is an awesome feeling knowing what you do is at the minimum acknowledged bye your neighbors.
I am also going to include with my cigars, a few humi packs and bubble wrap to ensure the cigars reach our brothers and sisters in good shape. God bless you all for keeping these men and women in your hearts and prayers and god bless the United States.
