Hey guys and gals looking for a little help? I would like to go on a boat cruise some time between June and August. I have never been on a cruise so I don't know what to look for? Does any one have any suggestions on certain cruises that you really enjoyed?

Thanks Dean :D

http://www.vacationstogo.com/ is where we found ours.

We are doing a 5 day cruise on Feb. 3rd. Total with all taxes was $660 for both of us.

One of the couples we are going with called Carnival and got us an upgrade in rooms because we have cruised on their ships before.

I've liked all the ones I've been on but like the eastern Carribean more then the western I bough my last one through Expedia.

As long as you stay away from the railing, watch what you eat, and don't have any physical contact with anyone besides your family you should be OK :D

Sounds like fun!

They have some nicely priced cruises that go out of Galveston.............it's nice to be able to drive to a port.
I would also recommend the website CRUISECRITIC.COM. You will find a wealth of information there. They have cruiseship reviews, roll calls for ships, etc. You can have any question answered on their forum pages. Make sure you find out where cigars are allowed on the ship that you choose. Some ships have designated rooms, others put you out on the deck.......

We've used Royal Caribbean and it was a great experience. If you get a chance, do the Eastern Caribbean.

I will second the recommendation to go to CruiseCritic.com. Anything and everything you want or need to know is there. After 12 cruises I still spend a lot of time on the forums, checking reviews of the particular ship and itineraries that I am interested in. Then once a selection is made I will go sing up in the "roll call" section to meet others that will be on the cruise. Usually I will make arrangements for an excursion with new made friends or get ideas of excursions to take. Most importantly, you will be able to find which ships have cigar bars or areas for smoking. If you have any specific questions, PM me and I will try to help.

I just got back from the Eastern caribbean through royal carribean....excellent time especially the Navigator of the Seas ship - nice cigar lounge/bar on board....and if you can afford....get a balcony so you can enjoy your smokes with a view
