Black Friday wall mart

If Walmart had any class at all they would have threw everybody out, refused all sales and closed for the day. Every person who was in the store should have been arrested for their disgusting actions.
 
Back in the Stone Age, I used to work at Sears in the Millcreek Mall. Black Fridays were always an ordeal. On those mornings, you didn't need an announcement that the store was opened. You could hear the crowd heading toward your department. We never had anybody killed or injured, though.

Very sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
 
I know that some people act like wild animals on this ridiculous day, but I actually had one of the best Black Friday's since I have been in the retail world. I run a Westlake Ace Hardware store and the customers were more pleasant and friendly today than I have ever seen them. I only got chewed on by one customer this year which is unheard of. It all depends on where you shop and the attitude you go into the store with.

If I ever own a store, I'm having a ridiculous sale on Black Wednesday. Everyone can waste their $$ at my store then have nothing left for Walmart and other stores.

I cant believe this story...so sad...and I cant believe Walmart distanced themselves from this story..they should have offered up a great deal of $$ to cover the loss for his family....just sad.
 
I used to go out in Black Friday but not anymore.

I am sure we would all be in if it was the Anejo box sale. Could you imagine?

The Green Acres Mall where this happened is usually a hotbed of crime anyway, so this latest incident doesn't surprise me at all. It's a tragedy that the guy was just trying to earn some money and was killed for his efforts. I think the blame is on both the stores that do this middle of the night black friday nonsense and the animalistic types that crushed him to death just to get a few bargains. They kill a guy just so they can save a few bucks. Really says a lot about the people who stampeded him. I also saw on the news that even the responding cops and EMS workers were trampled too but obviously not as seriously as the poor guy who was killed. I hope the security cameras identify the main offenders here.
 
I got most of my shopping done 2 months ago. Just finished the last of it the day before Thanksgiving.
 
I quit getting out early a few years back. We waited in line at a best buy once to get a 'cheap" laptop. Found out when we got in the door that they had been given away to people in line the night before via vouchers.

They gave tickets out to the first 100 people in line the night before who were then permitted to come in at their leisure anytime Black Friday. No one ever knew about vouchers until they waited in line 2 hours and arrived at the "table" where they were selling the computers from behind. Took another 2 hours to get out the door.
Pissed me off!

went home and bought a dell online for a few dollars more. Of course it was junk too.

I agree 100%. Dead person on the floor and the cash registers are ringing away. Nice!
