Man! Those Monarch butterfly shots are amazing!!!

I just picked up a new (slightly used) full frame lens (28-300mm ED) for my D800 off of eBay. Was testing it out for the first time and I am very pleased with the results! Glad you liked them

With the hummingbirds anything above 1/2000 does a good job stopping the wing movement.

I never even knew hunting them was a thing until I saw it on an episode of Meat Eater. They are beautiful and majestic looking birds.

If it makes you feel any better - neither was I until I started playing around with my camera. Some of the pictures are so cool It just has become very addictive. And my wife is my spotter - she points out things I miss - she's really getting into it too!
