just on a side note....i thought it was illegal to refuse a sell to someonea after posting it publicly. i knew a guy who bought the house right next to him to sell it as an investment. the guy who wanted to buy it was a jerk and he didnt want him as a neighbor, but his lawer told him he had to sell if the guy offered what he was asking.

i know this is way off topic, but ive always wondered if this applies to other real world stuff, like these coffee beans for example.

Jerry, Marc might have a point. You should post a disclaimer on your web site, something to the effect that you reserve the right to refuse service to subhuman species and others who might piss you off. Who is the offical CP lawyer?

When the potential buyer says, "OK, I'll buy it at your asking price," he's making an offer, not accepting one. The buyer then has the right to accept or refuse the offer. The same rules apply in a store, hence the right to refuse to sell to anyone. I'm sure this varies state by state, but that's how it was when I took some law classes back home when I wanted to be a lawyer.

I wouldn't sell him beans either. If you decide to, I'd make sure you get cash or cash equivelant from him...
