What have I gotton myself into?!
I just saw this while watching Around the Horn and I found it quite funny so I thought I'd share. Here is the LINK to a video posted by collegehumor (the folks who hosted the prank). The video there is about 7 minutes long so if you don't have time to watch it I'll sum it up for you. Ultimately, they chose a guy to do a blindfolded halfcourt shot with a chance to win $500,000. While this guy was in the back signing paperwork another guy from collegehumor came out on the court to inform the crowd that whether or not the shot went in to go crazy like he had made the shot. After signing paperwork the guy comes out on the court, puts on the blindfold, and throws up a shot and misses horribly. The crowd goes nuts like he made it, the guy throws off his blindfold and starts running around crazily like he had just won the money. The Terrapin mascot was out there jumping up and down with him. This poor guy didn't realize it was a practical joke until his friend brought out the fake check. Watching the video will explain it a lot better than I just did, but it is quite funny, and if you have the time you should watch it.
