nice package ... hey what happened to the second box?

I would love to try your beer!!!
Winner, winner, cheesesteak dinner! PM me your contact info, a list of your general likes and dislikes, either by style (stout, porter, IPA) or characteristic (hoppy, malty, etc.), and any specific area brews you've been hoping to try, and I'll get a package out to you ASAP.

That there is a beer drinker's wet dream..... WOW!!

Nic, you outdid yourself! I was like a kid in a candy store opening up this package of goodness after work today. From L to R: Brew Free or Die IPA, Hair of the Dog Fred, Alesmith YuleSmith Summer, Lost Abbey Angels' Share, Russian River Damnation, Green Flash Imperial IPA, Russian River Pliny the Elder, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot (2002!), Stone Pint Glass, Por Larangas Habanos Exclusivo Asia Pacifico.

Well done, my friend! With the exception of having previously tried Pliny and Damnation on tap, you managed to send 8 bottles I've never had the pleasure to sit down and enjoy. I'm very much looking forward to enjoying them. Several will be saved for some special celebrations we have planned for later next spring.

OK, now comes the fun part for me. Who wants some Brotherly Love?!?!

OK, got all the beers together, now I need to find some nice glassware and pick out a stick to add and this puppy will be on its way. More to come!

Alright, Cody...25 lbs. of East Coast goodness headed your way!

Enjoy!

I would LOVE to jump into one of these next time it gets started up. I have a few rare bottles on hand too to contribute, including a few 6's of Westy 12's I'm cellaring. There are some real nice selections here. Anyone have some Kate the Great's or Founders Breakfast to pass? :p

I think a couple people are getting a visit from the UPS Man today! :)

OK, Cody gave me the guidelines of Oktoberfests, porters, and maltier beers, so a little explanation may be in order here for some of these:

The Weyerbacher Harvest is a Fresh or "Wet" Hopped beer, made with hops grown on Dan Weirback's own farm. Hops grown in PA...who'dve thunk it? This year is the first release. No cases were sold outside of PA. Read more here.

The General Lafayette Inn is one of the best taverns/brewpubs in the area. The great old, colonial style. They just recently started bottling their more popular offerings for distribution in the area (prior to this year, the only way you could enjoy their beer outside of the Inn was in a growler). Chocolate Thunder Porter is part of their small batch series.

The Victory Baltic Thunder is from the OR in January 2008.

The Penndemonium is a Maibock/Helles Bock from Penn Brewing Co. out in Pittsburgh (had to send at least one offering from the other end of the state, and Gratitude wasn't available...sorry).

The Stoudt's Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale is part of their Brewmaster's Reserve. Only about 50 cases were packaged, and all were sold direct from the brewery. It was already about 10 months old before it was bottled. Read more here.

Into each life, a little Yuengling must fall. It's no craft beer, to be sure, but I thought you'd like to sample the wares from the oldest domestically-owned and domestically-brewed brewery in the nation (now #2 in size behind Boston Beer Co.).

Tröegs Scratch #12 is an English-style IPA; #13 is an Oktoberfest/Märzen. These were only available at the brewery. Read more about the single-batch Scratch Beer Series here.

Enjoy!

Cody's heading out of town for 2 weeks on Tuesday and needs somebody to jump on this, so I'll take it! I'd just like a regional sampler. I've been on a big sour kick lately, but anything big and malty fits the bill for me.
