BBQ Herf, Thread for plans and roster

Also if anyone has easy-up tents for shade and chairs(whatever you like to relax in) I have a few extras but not a lot. Someone asked about fireworks. So if anyone had left over firework that would be fine. No need to buy any.

I'll be bringing an Easy-Up in additional to our tent. I'll also make sure to bring some chairs. I'll have a poker table top as well as chips. I think Jingles is bring a top and chips as well.

The river is nice and slow this time of year, so tubing, fishing and canoeing is good.

I'll definitely have the fishing gear with me. :thumbs:

What are we doing for:

Beer? BYOB? or Kegs??? Do I need to supply or is someone bringing one or two? I will stock up on ice. I am renting a margarita machine for frozen margaritas.

I am planning on picking up a mini-keg of one of the local brews for everyone to sample. I don't drink beer, but this was one of my favorites when I did. I'm sure I'll bring a bottle or eight of something...just not sure what yet.

Food? breakfast, lunch, I know Hillbilly is doing dinner. I will supply the food for Friday night. (pizza and chips)

Maybe someone (I'd be glad to help out here) could pick up a couple of Sam's Club packs of frozen hamburgers for lunch on Saturday. In addition, a big box of hot dogs might be in order as well. Just a couple of thoughts on lunch.

As for breakfast, that is a good question. I am a pretty light breakfast eater personally, so my wife and I would be inclined to just do bagels, etc. However, I'll go with the flow on this one.

Hey should we set a cut off date so that you know how many ribs and stuff to bring with you Hillbilly. These guys that aren't posting could really scew the numbers, seems kind of a waste for them to post they are coming and then say not sure. Then never reply back. After all thats a lot of food and drinks that could be bought for them.

I dunno why I'm indicated as " ??? " because I sent hillbilly a PM a week ago saying that I had initially seriously considered attending but I purchased tickets for a Dropkick Murphy's show in New York City on August 18th which meant I WOULD NOT be able to attend the BBQ event.

We shall see, but I am quite sure that my life will not allow any such thing. If it does, I'll let everyone know--Rob--that carpool situation will be kept in mind.

I have a feeling it would be either this herf or the God of Fire dinner in California. No way both are going to happen, and there is a pretty good chance neither will.
 
Hey guys, how does $15 per person sound?? If you bring kids, then just chip in a few extra dollars.

I will just make up a bunch of racks of ribs, and a couple/few briskets and some sides. Sorry I haven't been on track of this, we are in the process of selling our house and its been busy times!

Bringing a keg of Red Oak would be fine, I just need to see how much real interest we have in that.

$15 sounds good. The Red Oak sounds good. I've never tryed it though.

As of now I have about 10-15 people that are coming that are not on CP. I will have a good count by next week hopefully. Some of the guys from the White House are thinking about coming.
 
The $ sounds great - I will add whatever you think for the kids - As for the beer - I hate the stuff - I will bring VODKA to drink - The wife my have 1 or 2 before I shut her off - She is my DD. :whistling:

Like Cookie, I'm not a beer drinker either. I prefer tequila or rum -- Maybe I can make up a big batch of 'ritas or mojitos. :love:
