Batten down the hatches Houston

wow I just checked out Serous Smokes Web site What a mess they have some pics and have an update on the site. I wonder why they did not try and pack up the cigars they knew it was coming. But hey other things life Family take precedence in a time like that I guess. I hope all the B/SOTL are ok rp

My family is back on the mend. My brother and niece both have power and have temporary patches in place (same roofing contractor using mylar, 1 hr of work each, $150 each pending the perm fix) on their roofs. My nephew is still without power, but is sitting ok with his generator.

I'm Here. No Power yet at my complex but there is a Panera bread open around the corner so I have internet.

My building has 10 out of 16 apartments damaged from wind & water. My corner of the building is fine.

Thanks Mark for posting up for me. Its been pretty crazy. The wife and I were lucky as we had power back within 24 hours yet the people across the street are still without. Nothing lost that can't be replaced. The worse is the tidal surged areas. There were some communities completely wiped away.... nothing but the slabs left. You can't imagine what its like with 5 to 6 million people without power. Everything stops.... no traffic lights, no place to eat, no banks, no phones, no gas, no nothing...... life stops. Things are starting to come back to life but this area will be in recovery for a long time.

The pictures on this site will give you just a small taste... trust me, its worse in person.

My home on the West side fared fine, buy my office didn't have power until today.. It's hard doing business without power when your business is online based, it's going to be a slow process getting everything back to how it was before Ike.
