Bambi bites the dust

Actually it lost a fight with my wife's Saturn. Hood is all bent, headlights are smashed, big dent in the side near the wheelwell, windshield is cracked and deer hair stuck in all the seams. Luckily the wife is OK, just upset and the car.....who knows what Geico is going to do, it's close but I don't think they'll total it.

I'll echo the sentiments that as long as Ms. AVB is OK, it'll come out in the wash one way or another.

She's very lucky - it's not that uncommon around the PacNW to hit a deer and have it come through the windshield....which usually plays heck with the folks in the front seat.

Glad the mrs. is all right, as far as bambi is concerned, the herds need to be culled to acceptable levels. Around my area there are forest preserves which are loaded with deer, it's time to change policy. IMHO! :angry: :angry:

Glad the wifey is ok AVB. Have you tried those whistler things you put on the front of your car? I've gotten a few for my sister and brother in law since they get alot of deer where they live. Not sure if they work real well but wouldn't hurt. Maybe someone else knows of a better deterant for deers while driving. I'm curious as well. And I hope all goes well in the unfortunate situation.

Thank you all for your concern. Looking at the car in the daylight it isn't as bad as it seemed last night and I'm sure it will be fixed. As for bambi meat, I didn't go back looking for it however, I didn't see it driving by this morning.
