Baltimore, MD Herf

Well I hope this is a rain or shine event. Leaving momentarily for the big city! :)
 
I think this went pretty well. A salute to Ludwig for setting it up. Pics, stories and lies to follow.
 
I agree. It went very well. Had a great time. Thanks Ludwig. Your an OKAY guy for a youngster :D Hopefully you can get down to DC sometime.
 
Hey guys - great time yesterday. I always enjoy the chance to smoke a few cigars with guys from the board and finally puts names and faces together. Thanks again Ludwig for organizing this!!!

I'd like to thank the cigardawg for toting up a bottle of bourbon for me that I can't get in PA or MD. You know I'll review it sometime this year :p

Andrew did a fantastic job setting this up. I did not know of the great places that Bal'mer has for cigar smokers. I thought the restaurant, Babalu's was great. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was very nice. HerfinOne and I think that our wives would enjoy the restaurant and we talked about doing dinner there one night. And of course we could not go there without following it up with a return visit to the Havana Club, considering it is so close and all. ;)

The Havana Club was very nice too. They had almost all of the beverages that one could wish for to imbibe while smoking a cigar. However, the drink prices are very STIFF! But that is to be expected when drinking premium liquor and port. $18.50 a glass for the 3-4 ounces of port that I drank. It was good, but no better than the port that I usually drink.

Fine and subtle nuances whether it be cigar or beverages are lost on me. Give me a bottle of Whiskers Blake, Australin Tawny Port, and I'm happy! :D

I had only met AVB, HatGuy and BeerMeister before at previous herfs. It was great meeting you other BOTLs and SOTLs and SOs of the BOTLs that I had not previously met. :)
 
Great time yesterday, everyone. One of the primary reasons that I joined CP was to meet people to one day smoke with. I always like putting the faces with the names (and screen-names). Good cigars, good drinks, good food, and most of all great BOTLs (and at least one SOTL)...a combination for a fantastic day. Thank you to everyone and especially to Ludwig for organizing the herf and Tom for posting the contest while we were still at the herf.

Thanks again, everyone, and I hope to be able to do it again in the near future.
 
We had a great time too!! Nice to meet everyone, and we hope to do it again soon!
 
Pics were taken so I would expect some to be posted although I don't know what's taking so long ???

I had a fantastic time in spite of the weather! It was great to meet some new folks and spend time with some previous met BOTL. Thanks one and all for your generosity.

Very nice meeting those of you whom I had not met before. Andrew, thanks again for planning everything - smooth as silk.

I had a great time and will get some pics up soon. I just moved and need to find the cable to download the pictures to the computer. :whistling:
 
Thanks to Ludwig (Andrew) for planning the herf - I had a great time!

I wish I'd had the chance to talk more at length with others in the group. Between laughs with Cigar Dawg's SO, and LC-Smoker, I got the name of an Australian Port I definitely want to try! (Galway Pipe)

BTW, I have new respect from my children, "You know someone that works at the White House, Dad?" -- Dennis (theHatGuy), I appreciate the hat and T-shirt. Of course, it would have been better if the words were spelled correctly on the hat... :whistling:

Hey, look there - my post count is soaring! Guess I'll have to talk a little more here, as well... :laugh:
