Ashlee Simpson halftime "performance"

Anyone see this wannabe sing at the Orange bowl halftime show? I didn't have the sound on as I was napping, but I played the video which you can find here and couldn't believe my ears. She is so horrible!, uggghhhhh!.
 
How bad is it when the best halftime show you can muster up for the championship game is some talentless little sister to a slightly famous singer?
 
Hell, the entire half time show blew. The sound quality sucked. That Trace whoever country singer was horrible as well.
 
You missed all the boos, it was very fitting IMO. Her sister certainly got the looks and more of the "talent" in the family.

It was pathetic. Her voice is extremely annoying. How do people like this get signed? Her sister's not much better. Guess they were on a big budget this year for entertainment.

I can understand if Ashlee sucked, but if Trace Atkins sucked, there had to be a technical problem in the sound system. I missed the game, what did Trace sing?
 
I thought the singer (Jo Jo?) of the National Anthem was lousy too. Besides the silly attempt to make single syllable words into 3 or 4 syllables, she just didn't have a good voice. It's the National Anthem, not a vehicle to try and make a name for yourself with your "stylized" rendition.

One of the most memorable National Anthem's was the one where the young girl forgot the words at an NBA game and the coach (his name escapes me right now, he played with the 76ers) put his arm around her and sang it with her. THAT is what the Anthem is about, that's what America is about.

Not sure what song Trace Atkins sang. Honestly to me, it sounded as if he was almost saying the words, then singing/yelling the chorus.
 
What I can't stand is Jessicas damn mouth and hand movements. Reminds me of some opera sh*t.
