Notes: This cigar was gifted by Carlito occasionally starting in 1999, and 100 packages were later auctioned for charity in 2001. This is a lancero version of the Don Carlos line. This vitola has been officially released only in the "Don Carlos 30 yr Celebration 1975-2005" gift set, released in late 2005. From top to bottom:
1. This is the original (pre-2004) Don Carlos Lancero, but the Don Carlos Lancero that comes in the aforementioned gift set looks identical, except it has "Don Carlos Lancero" written in gold on the cello.
2. This cedar-wrapped, black-footed Don Carlos Lancero is the "new-style" that has been handed out and auctioned off at various venues post-2003.
Despite the different packaging, the cigars are identical. The Don Carlos Lancero was also given out to approximately 80 people at CFC 2004, to 80 people at CFC 2006 & 2007 (in cedar wrap and black foot variant).
These cigars have also been seen on sale @ Casa Fuente in boxes of 37.
