Anyone upgrade to OS X Mavericks?

Contemplating upgrading my desktop and laptop but just a tad bid scared. I mean I have an external hard drive for a back up but I've read of some issues with word and excel and I use these often with some very old documents, spreadsheets, proposals etc. I do have pages and numbers but have gotten so use to excel and word.
 
Anyways, who has upgraded and if so any glitches to watch out for or any recommendations?  Thanks.

I have upgraded and do not have any perceived issues.  I use Microsoft Office for Mac and have not had any issues with Word, Excel, Office or Powerpoint.

I've also upgraded without issue & use MS Office for Mac & have no issues there either.
The upgrade went as smooth as I could have hoped.
