Anyone here tried Joe Gannascoli's (Vito from The Sopranos) Cugine cigar? He's now got 2 lines made for him by Alec Bradley. I tried the red label and enjoyed it while I was at a store north of here, but wasn't impressed with the other one....can't remember what they consisted of. I'd like to hear if anyone's tried them and what y'all think of them.

I have not tried it, but I do have a question. Please excuse my ignorance, Isy. I could of sworn Joe Gannascoli's Cugine was being distributed by Arganese at one point? Do you know when he decided to have it re-released with Alec Bradley?

I know that Gene Arganese was making a cigar for him at one point, but I don't think it was called the "Cugine". Alec Bradley is now making the Cugine. As to what happened with the Arganese cigar he had made for him, I don't know.

He may have eaten it, Is. :0

I've smoked through a bundle each of their maduro and connecticut torpedo and robusto. This is what mine all look like Cugine
I got tired of the maduro but the connecticut wrapped are still good smokes to me. Mild, but when I'm in the mood for one, I can smoke and still do simple math.

The article says it was through Arganese so if AB is making them now, should be worth a try.

I initially bought them for around $100 and they were already in a bundled, cellophaned brick and then a large vendor started to put them out for about $60. Then it went down even further when CI and Cbid started putting them on special.

THanks Dave. I think that's the old one by Arganese. I'm thinking about it. We'll see what happens.

It is the old one. I would hold off on the new until a taste test but I wish I knew how to get my hands on one to try to evaluate.

I took a trip up to Albany 2 weeks ago and saw them, so I bought some to try. There was a red banded one that I liked, but I wasn't crazy about the other one. I just wanted to gauge people's opinions on this smoke.

I'm going to try one soon enough... Joe Gannascoli is going to be at a local B&M on 3/27 pushing his line.... Should be interesting.
