Anyone have a 120qt Cooler'dor?

Before I went vinotemp I did look into one of these and they are a great option. If the temp around here would cooperate in the summertime I would have gone that route. I took an empty box with me and by doing some rough math I estimated I could cram in about 12-15 boxes depending on the box size and still have room to get beads in there.

I had one of those that i picked up at the sporting goods section of walmart. It worked well until I bought my cabinet, if i remember correctly there were atleast 15 boxes with a good amount of space. Mine held humidity pretty well. If you're looking to keep it a while, invest in some of those lil oust fans.

Speaking of the oust fans Rob if you decide to pick this up and want some I have 2 that I'm not using. Drop me a pm and they are yours.

I think there is a thread where someone did a vertical setup on one of these. Looked real nice.

I have one. I've had it oriented both vertically and horizontally.

If you want max. storage, go horizontal (no shelves) and I'd say you could definitely fit 20 boxes.

Holds humidity very well. I only need to recharge my beads once every 1-2 months but I open it up pretty regularly.

I have that exact same cooler and there are easily 30 boxes in it right now with some room to spare (although a few of those boxes are somewhat small). The more uniform boxes you have the more you can fit in, with odd sizes filling out the extra space. I have had a lot of luck playing tetris with it.

Excellent feedback! Exactly what I was hoping to hear. I'm placing my order tonight. :) Thanks again...

I have this exact same cooler in my closet. Has that perfect woosh when I drop the lid and has worked excellent holding RH. The only thing I didn't like about it was there were no grooves in the side for shelves. My original plan was to sit it up vertical and put a couple of shelves in it, but luckily it fit perfectly in the closet.

They have those in stock at my local Wal-Mart, and like Greg sez, a nice whoosh when closing.

Also most large sport stores bass pro Cabelas and sportsman’s warehouse will have them us Salmon fishers love them cause we can full a large salmon in them. rp

I am in the market for something like this too.

Is that a good price for one that size? Igloo is a good known name but it is a good product?

I went to my local WMT and they did not have it. It is $45 + $22 shipping.

All thoughts are welcomed!

Yes, it's a great price. If you search around, you'll see that Walmart usually has the best prices on coolers. Other sites are selling this same cooler for $120+.

Hey if you guys are going to grab one of those I might suggest that you check out the "whoosh factor" on the coolers. I had to go through quite a few of them here when I bought my last one before I found a decent one. Seriously, some weren't "whooshing" as good as the others.
It's actually funny you mention the whoosh thing Kingantz because thats exactly how I picked mine out.

Damn - I almost bought it but I want the ability to put shelves into it. First I have to figure out where to get the shelves.

I know where to get the trays (2), beads, oust fans so I just need to get a cooler with ability for shelves and then the shelves & 1/4" thick cedar for the walls.

My new coolerdor is nothing more than a place to store boxes. I won't be putting any shelves in it, I need storage space only. If you get wooden sticks or wood dowels I'm sure you could install some shelving in this unit rather easily. I like that the walls appear flush - more storage space that way.

With the beads and a little mass from boxes, you don't need Spanish Cedar. All the shelves and panels do today is look cool.
