I've been watching a lot of Steve Goodman videos on Youtube, lately. I had mentioned this to a few local music loving friends, and not one of them knew who he was! I consider him one of the very best folk singer / songwriters, and entertainers, ever. As a frame of reference, he wrote "City of New Orleans". He was also a fantastic guitar player. If you really love Folk, and do not know who he is, you should check him out.

I've never heard of this dude...but I will check the videos to see if your opinion is in any way pleasing to a punk.

You might like it. His lyrics are clever. He was also very funny so, I think that you might possibly appreciate his sense of humor. He fought Leukemia for 15 yrs and was determined to live as full a life as possible.

I had heard of him, but really not too familiar.  I read up on him today and watched a bunch of YouTube videos.  He had a hell of a story.  Thanks for sharing.

He wrote "You never even call me by my name", made famous by David Allen Cole....and is mentioned in the additional lyrics.
