So, I spill coffee on the center console(shift console).
I drive to work fine, pull in to park and it won't go into park...or N or R ...just D!
I shut the car down and it goes into park.
Now, the key will turn and sometimes start the car...but no PRNDL lights on the dash, check engine is one and if I push the trans-release button I can then get it into R or D. *aka Limp Home Mode!
Codes (yes, we have a coupdl fellows at work with readers - go figure)
P0600 Serial Communication Link Malfunction
P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction (PRNDL Input)
P0720 Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
I may need to replace part : 2102670524
Please PM if you have any other info.
edit
I just noticed this on the top of the shifter: PP 210 267 079 not the one above...how bizarro!
So, I took apart the top of the shifter(wood/plastic trim) and I took off the WS(winter summer mode) switch...blew it off with some canned air and let sit.
It's now working. On top of that, I cleared out the codes and no more errors...we'll see what happens later...and on a humid day!
UGH.
