I walked from my front yard to my back yard, and tried out my new Machete. Very exhausting! 
Johnson Adventure Team Parangatang. .188 thick 1095 CroVan steel made by Kabar. Very sharp, and
very effective for the woody brush I had in mind when I ordered it. I suspect it will do a lot of bushcraft chores well.
Came out of the box shaving sharp, with a very nice finish to the edge. 86 bucks delivered from Amazon.
I honestly think it will do 85% of a standard springy machete, and then a lot more on the other end of the spectrum.
