Yes CPass, the answer is YES! So last year i did a similar thing in 'the name of Science', and to honestly see if I like them. They did not suck. Some were even very good! I was blessed by a bunch of members over the last 8 or so months and decided to wait until the weather turned for the better before trying them. Well, its time. This go-roundd will be a longer duration due in part to the quantity, but also because I don't want to rush through them either. Here is a picture of what I have to work with, and I'm going to include the flavor wheel that I'm going to use to help guide my expereince, in case you'd like to save a copy for reference. So here we are back to doing things 'in the name of Science!'

Are Cuban Cigars Any Good???
I am admittedly a poo-pooer of Cuban cigars, commie sticks as I sometimes call them. I take that stance for several reasons, mostly the opposite reasons why i love NC's. However, some folks in this forum, and I wont name names as we don't talk about sources (right?), took it upon themselves to...

2021-01 Partagas Mille Fluers (ABO May 19)
This Partagas Mille Fluers from May of 2019 is the first in this year’s series of Another Review Thread on Cuban? Really? This sat in my dry box for several days in anticipation of smoking. One thing that I have learned over the last 12 months is that cuban cigars need to be treated...

2021-02 H. Upmann Magnum 46 (OMB 2017)
I have heard a lot of good stuff about the Mag series from H Upmann so I was excited to try this one next. Again, it was dry boxes, and I would periodiclly test out the draw. Ater nearly 2 weeks in the dry box, I decided to light it up and see what it was all about. 1/3: Of the initial light...

2021-03 Montecristo Edmundo (OBM 2017)
This cigar had a much looser draw then other cubans which I've had. It was, thankfully, more in line with what I've come to appreciate in non-cuban cigars. I was very excited when I took this out for an evening walk. 1/3: Right off the bat, this started out as graham cracker. Add some...

2021-04 Juan Lopez #2 (UTL 2018)
I was very excited going into this review as there is a lot of love for the JL2. Especially as of late. Also, this is another cigar that is more similar in size to what I like to smoke. 1/3: Chalk/mineral (talcum powder for all you haters out there) right on the first draw! Soon thereafter...

2021-05 Juan Lopez #1 (unknown year or code)
I wanted to smoke this one while the JL2 was fresh in my head, just to see what the similarities might be. It was either @CigarStone or @kann , I believe, who asked the question about keeping the flavor profile across the marca line. Well, I recognized a lot of similar flavors but also some...

2021-06 Por Larranaga Petit Corona (LGR October 2019)
This is another one that everyone loves and so I was excited to give it a go. So let us jump in. 1/3: This is a tight, dense stick, even after almost 2 weeks in the dry box and so I was able to loosen up the draw to where it wasn't terrible using my PerfecDraw. Off the first puff I got...

2021-07 Punch Petit Coronations (LGR April 2019)
I don't have much, if any history with Punch, and I have not seen or heard anything about this cigar so I was very curious what would come of it. 1/3: It had a little bit of a tight draw, but surprisingly the PerfecDraw wasn't the least bit required to make this an enjoyable smoking...

2021-08 Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios (unknown year or code)
This is a cigar that inspires awe. Both for its band, and also for its uniqueness. Not many maduros in the Cuban portfolio. I believe that this was their first production maduro, too. It is a big (by Cuban standards anyway) cigar. I think it is a 6x52 or maybe even a 54. Well, off to see...

2021-09 El Rey Del Mundo Demi Tasse (unknown year or code)
so this is a very short cigar and thus, a really short review. 1/3: Beef and sharp cheese. To be fair, I am grilling while smoking this so perhaps the smoke coming off the grill has influenced me, so what. 2/3: Burnt steak. 3/3: Clove and black pepper. It was a enjoyable short smoke. Not...

2021-10 La Gloria Cubana Serie D. No. 5, Exclusivo Espana (2017)
This is the first regional edition Cuban cigar that I have ever had and I was excited to see what all the hub-bub was all about. Even before I placed it in the dry box, the draw on this was perfect. I contemplated on whether I even needed to dry box it, but since Yoda and the Jedi said that...

2021-11 Por Larranaga Montecarlo (unknown year or code)
I had this cigar first thing in the morning with coffee while watching nature outside our beach house. It is a skinny guy, but very elegant. 1/3: This took a minute or two to really get going. I was almost afraid that i had a dud on my hands but a quarter or half inch into it, I began to get...

2021-12 Romeo y Julieta Belvederes (ASR July 2019)
This was another small cigar, with a length just under 5 inches and a ring gauge of just under 40. Great size for walking a dog, as I did. 1/3: Wood & Oak to start, before shifting to salt and must. 2/3: Mustard and soap. 3/3 Mushrooms. It was nice, but I would have preferred less resistance...

2021-13 Juan Lopez #2 (UTL 2018) *Second Edition
So I had this one previously in this review thread (see 2021-04). The draw on this one was perfect. 1/3: A mix of mineral, graphite, soap and chalk (my palette appears to be more refined from the first go-round). An inch in and it becomes predominantly charcoal and chocolate. The charcoal...

2021-14 Romeo y Julieta Belvederes (2018) *Second Edition
In this edition, the draw was perfect! I was excited to see what the difference in draw would do. 1/3: Coffee, or espresso with some faint pepper. Possibly some (milk?) chocolate. This edition was way different that the first go-round where I tasted wood, salt and must. I prefer this...

2021-15 Quintero Tubulares (unknown year or code)
So I had one or two of these last year, when I was doing this. I remember them being pretty good but rather ugly to look at. After reviewing last years reviews, I decided to not even try to compare notes. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed them last year, but still had mixed feelings. Now that I...

2021-16 Por Larranaga Petit Corona (LGR October 2019) *Second Edition
I feel as if I'm getting used to this flavor profile at this point. These are really good, but lets see how this one held up to the first. 1/3: Salt and mineral. So in looking back to the first example, I had salt, but I also had melon, and rind. None of that on this version. 2/3: Salt and...

2021-17 Trinidad Reyes (unknown year or code)
This is another one which I was lucky enough to have for last years review. I just reread my review, and well..., it is not something where I can compare apples to apples. Go back and read it if you can find it, and you will see why. Anyways... 1/3: This took a good half dozen puffs before I...

2021-18 Partagas Short (REG September 2019)
This cigar is another work horse in the cigar world. I have had these before, but couldn't tell you anything about them, other then they are something you need. This time I actually paid attention to it: 1/3: Chalk and red pepper of the bat. About halfway through the first third, I begin to...

2021-19 Bolivar Petit Belicosos LE (ERO AGO 2009)
This is the first of a very special package I received. Actually the remaining sticks in this review experience are all from that package. In that package was a letter and on that letter I was asked if I could figure out the predominate flavor from this, and I think I did. 1/3: Dark chocolate...

2021-20 Bolivar Coronas Gigantes (POS ENE 2007)
Another cigar from Yoda! "aged for the just right amount of time for these". So yeah, my expectation level is starting off kinda high. And just to put the age into perspective, I joined CP a year before these were boxed. 1/3: This starts off a tad bit tight, so I have to use my "sipping"...

2021-21 Diplomaticos No. 2 (OEB May 2007)
I don't know how much over lap the Diplomatico blend and the Montecristo blend have, but I have heard folks say that the Diplomaticos #2 is similar to the Montecristo #2. I don't have one to compare but just this statement had me pretty excited to try a Diplomatico. Again, notice the age! I...

2021-22 Por Larranaga Petit Corona (EML ABR 2014)
So in the name of science, this is the first of this review series to forgo the flavor wheel. I feel like I have reviewed these enough times that this would be a good litmus test. So here we go: 1/3: Chalk and spice. The first half inch in, produces nutmeg and vanilla, while the spice begins...

2021-23 Montecristo No. 4 (Pre-Embargo)
Just having the opportunity to smoke this is a treat! Pre-Embargo, I mean how cool is that?!?! 1/3: Chalk, which I think translates to "old book" or "musty attic" in Bill speak. Oh, and a little bit of sweetness. This is amazingly delicious. A quarter inch in and I get a little bit of...

2021-24 Montecristo No. 1 (1970)
A cigar from 1970! What more can I say? I wasn't even born yet. It smells a little leathery and the cold draw is a bit of old hay left in an old barn. 1/3: The milk leftover from a bowl of Golden Grahams cereal is what I'm getting for most of the first third. About half way through the...

2021-25 H Upmann Coronas (PVC ENE 2003)
As always, I am excited to smoke something that has history behind it. I don't know about you, but something with age like this does has me reflecting on what I was doing in 2003, and where I was: Junior year of college. I think I was playing lacrosse for CU's team that year too. My...

2021-26 H Upmann Sir Winston (OME MAY 2014)
To say that I am excited for this wouldn’t be doing this situation justice. Cohiba's and Monti 2’s get all the glory, but you will never find someone who does speak of the Sir Winston without reverence. 1/3:Great flavor and draw right off the bat! Maybe some baking spice. It is a little...

2021-27 Behike BHK 56 (unknown year or code)
This one is 5 to 6 years old, so I am told. I had a couple of the smaller versions 9 years ago on a kickass business trip but I don't remember anything from that. There is some level of Baller status that comes with this. Even the band is flashy. I felt like I was wearing ostrich leather...
