Angels Clinch!

Angels Win!!!

Finally....and it only took 12 innings...

Once again, the Angels played like shit. The Red Sox did a good job capitalizing on our many mistakes. That game should have been 4-0 angels.

This series would be closer and much better if the Angels played good baseball like they did all year long. They seriously need to tighten up their game.

Let's see what tomorrow holds..... Go Angels!!!

Pimpin

Oh wait, has that ball Napoli hit off beckett landed yet? :whistling:

so the angels clinch the opportunity to get schooled by a far superior team... woohoo!

GO RED SOX

Ok.......so tell one more time.........who are the Angels.........?

Maybe they should change their name to the "Boston Angels of Anaheim". Yeah.......then they'd get respect for sure!

schooled by a far superior team

Wait a minute...superior?

You're kidding right?

The Angels played like garbage. Plain and simple. No Excuses. Errors, bad defense, leavining runners on etc and they had no business advancing.

That said, Boston wasn't much better. They had errors and misplays, left 36 runners on base, and were with 10-37 in scoring opportunities.

They won because they took advantage of Angel mistakes...which admittly there was alot of, not because they were superior.

Do yourself a favor, compare the series numbers they had against the angels....they are really close.

You can be happy they won, but anyone with any baseball knowledge and sense can't be happy with the way they played. I'd be nervous going up against the Rays.

Fugg all that. Pimps right, the Angels, like the Sox of old, found a way to loose. I'm beginning to realize what it must have felt like to be a Yankees fan in the 20th century.

Doc.

I did say TEAM... the angels are just a bunch of (lame) personalities backed by a creepy monkey on a screen.

You're kidding right? No... I'm not kidding

You can be happy they won, but anyone with any baseball knowledge and sense can't be happy with the way they played. I'd be nervous going up against the Rays. I'd only be nervous if Torii Hunter was on my team. (Oh... and if Scoscia was coaching) ;)

edited to add: Doc, you surprise me.

How about the "Atlanta Angels of Anaheim"...? They used to allways get the best record and then go one-and-out in the playoffs....

Charley... we have such a similar sense of humor. ;)

The best part was sitting with my fellow-Red-Sox fan Nick just 5 rows above the angels dugout and watching the steam just come out of the players and the fans in game 2!

How did you see any of the game with the blond one row in front of you and two people to your left? You must be a huge baseball fan. :D

My eyes are bad but close up that blond was pretty nasty. Lots of silicone/plastic down there in Anaheim. Bleech.

Hey Chris, nice seats! How did you score those? I was at game 6 in 1986. 75,000 people (the stadium was enclosed back then for football) all screaming as the Angels were one strike away from victory and their first trip to the World Series. The when Dave Henderson hit the next pitch from Donny More into the seats to tie the game it got so quiet you could here him laughing as he rounded the bases. Of course the Sox went on to win it in the 10th, then win game 7 in Boston, loose to the Mets (Buckner!) and Donny More put a bullet in his head a few years later!
