So Obama is visiting RI today. As I'm driving home from work Air Force One flew right over my car and as I was making my way toward my exit the motorcade was heading up the opposite side of the highway from where I was. Like him or not, it was still an impressive sight to see and one of the cooler things I can say I've seen in my lifetime. Just figured I'd share, thats all.

I hate it when he is in NYC. Makesnit hard to get around town...not just Obama, but any President.
 
Had to deal with AF1 at LAX some years back. Our captain was very succinct.

"Sorry folks. When he moves, we don't".

He was right.

I actually got some pics right by TF Green just before work! Missed the motorcade though but I could see him walking out of the plane through my camera lens. Very cool experience. Where in RI are you from? I live about 2 minutes from the airport so I was glad to see something out of the ordinary fly in haha

Nice pics! He's coming here to Charlottesville, VA on Friday . . . I won't be driving anywhere that day. This town has a rough time dealing with day to day traffic as it is.

Great pics, man! I'm in Cranston, so not too far from the airport in the other direction. I do have to say although the road closures caused a bit of traffic they were really efficient with opening up the exits right away after the motorcade passed.
 
Back during the Clinton administration we got regular visits from Al Gore and one from Bill Clinton...Al Gore had several uncles and an aunt that lives in town. I was part of the local security each time so I saw both planes. I actually got a small tour of Air Force 2. They gave me a souvenir being a book of matches from Air Force 2...Nicest book of matches I ever saw. It has the Presidential Seal on it .

Could have had my picture taken with Clinton and Gore but I did not...Personal reasons.

The matches are nice, but the Presidential M&Ms are the shiznit.
