My rolling cigar lounge (a '99 Nissan Frontier Kingcab) have been retired from duty.

Did a little research into small SUVs---got this one:

Toyota RAV-4. Power everything. AWD. 28 mpg. CD/MP3 instead of cassettes. Sweeeeeeeeet.

LOL! I wish!

Took a little doing to find a good pic the same year, model, color, and trim, and what do I get? Shamrocker bustin' my chops! :p

Is that color champagne? Isn't that a girls' color? :whistling:

LOL!!! Technically, it's "Sandy Beach Metallic," which seems pretty appropriate for living on the Gulf, but since the RAV-4 doesn't come with a pussy magnet or penis extension or ten yards of useless sheet metal machismo, let's call it "Sparkling Sissy Champagne!"

My Nissan was the same color. Hides the dirt, and traffic cops ignore you!

Nice mini SUV. The RAV4 is a good choice, my wife and I were looking at getting one a couple years ago. We ended up getting something just a tad larger though, not enough room for two car seats and all the stuff that goes with twins.

Sweet car, congratulations! Now it's time to stink it up with a nice stogie!! Did you have a particular one in mind to break it in?

28 to the gallon, really? I'm leaning towards one of these:

I've driven a Cooper for 7 years, but now that my youngest can nearly get in and out by himself, I'm thinking the four door is the way to go. It also gets 31 mpg, has a turbo-charged engine, AWD and a bit more spacious. Wifey thinks it won't be big enough. She seems to think our next vehicle should be some sort of shuttle for our kids and all their friends. So, I've looked at many similar cross-overs, but none get the mileage the Countryman does. We'll see....

Enjoy the new ride, it looks sharp.

Mini Coopers are sweet . . . I love the extended chassis one with the clamshell rear hatch that came out a couple years ago. Especially the SkunkWerks version with rally lights!

Unfortunately, I'm a long-torsoed 6'2" and tip the scales at 275. Think Arnold, then add a gut!

No way I'd fit in one.

Devil Doc: I love me some lead sled! But unless I win a lotto or something . . .

I believe that the background of the image is the "green" gas station with solar and low energy consumption technology. It's located in Los Angeles, run by BP.

Had to look up that Arnold height. Saw him in person at a ski resort and no way is he 6' 2". He list himself as that height but at most he's only 6 feet. Probably closer to 5' 10 or 5' 11" in real life.

Congrats on a new ride Boar, but with those physical measurements, I'm wondering if a RAV-4 and you end up looking something like this............

ROTFLMAO!!!

No, but that's definitely me trying to get into my mother's Sentra to drive her someplace! :sign:

It's roomier than the Nissan, with good headroom. Fits me really well, although the steering wheel is a tad small and takes a little getting used to. Handles really well, but when I put both hands on the wheel it's . . . well, it's a little "kiddy car," let's put it that way.

Drove the Nissan for so long it was like an extension of my body. But the RAV-4 is real easy to drive and I'm adapting.
